Inside today's Locked on Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens lost a hard-fought game to the Carolina Hurricanes, overcoming a multi-goal deficit in the first period and pushing the Canes to their limit before losing 5-3. Scott breaks down the good, the bad and the ugly in his game recap. Speaking of ugly, the officiating again made itself a focal point of the game when they let a blatant cheapshot to the head of Juraj Slafkovsky go uncalled, and Scott has plenty to say about that.
The Habs now head further south into the swampy lands of Florida for a series of games against Florida and Tampa Bay this weekend. While this trip has always been one riddled with apprehension and poor showings, Scott thinks the Habs can flip the script this season and maybe conquer some of their past demons. He takes a look at what we can expect in these games, and why it's important for Montreal to continue their path towards erasing their previous history with rival teams.
Finally, it's been a relatively quiet showing at World Juniors for Habs prospects and fans are understandably restless. Scott however, thinks it is far too early to think that a quiet tournament means bad things in the future for players like Owen Beck and Lane Hutson.
