Dominique Drakeford's background is a 10 year of youth development, adventure-based outdoor education and sustainable fashion advocacy throughout the Bay Area and New York. She is an environmental educator with a BA in Business Environmental Management and a Master's Degree from NYU in Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Fashion.

Currently, she works at the intersections of sustainability, lifestyle and community to heal our relationship to the Earth and spark equitable change for economic wellbeing. She is bringing fairness to storytelling by championing the values of inclusive representation and informed responsibility through her digital platform MelaninASS (Melanin And Sustainable Style). This blog hones in on sustainable fashion, natural beauty, wellness and land sovereignty efforts by BIPOC.

In this episode we talk about re-engineering the sustainability movement to put black and brown indigenous people are the forefront of the conversation, and how to do community-focused work. Plus, of course, we chat about her favorite thrifted finds! Thanks for listening, and let's dive right in!
