The Oakland Athletics are really taking every step they can to make it more difficult to root for the team. On Tuesday they announced they'd be furloughing front office employees and making pay cuts to those that made over a certain threshold. Tuesday night they decided to announce they they're also going to stop paying minor leaguers $400 a week, but those players also can't seek greener pastures.

This is all from a team whose owner has an estimated worth of $2.3 billion and whose slogan is "Rooted in Oakland"
