Questions:

1. Jim: “I know your focus is more of a one-on-one conversational dialogue. But is there any consideration of including anything regarding how things differ in a debate scenario?”
2. Kristine: “Could you give me some more examples of the differences between a clarification question and an argument with a question mark that you encourage people to avoid making? And are there any instances where you might use an argument with a question mark?” We also discuss “the Socratic method” and more reasons why we make most of our arguments with periods instead of question marks.
3. Simon in Australia: “How do you deal with people who are equivocating or using words vaguely?”

Josh interviews Sara Littlefield from Abortion Pill Reversal about the research they’ve done on saving babies whose mom has taken the first RU-486 pill and then changed her mind, as well as the resources they offer these women.

Josh also asks Sara to respond to the arguments that pro-choice groups have made about APR’s work.

In this episode Tim gives a fuller explanation of the argument Josh presented in the course about avoiding burden of proof shifts, and responds to likely counter-arguments. For example, doesn’t the dialogue style Tim is teaching allow the pro-choice person to have too much of an advantage, or allow them to take too much control of the conversation?

Josh and Rachel respond to the common question of what to do when the person you're talking to "bites a bullet," by saying something like, "Maybe we can kill toddlers sometimes," or "maybe squirrels are persons." They also briefly discuss how to respond to utilitarians and moral relativists, who often bite bullets.
