IG International believes equity markets may see some optimism with the US Federal Reserve likely to maintain a hawkish pause in interest rates when it makes its decision this week. However, it analyst Yeap Jun Rong will also be watching for more hints and signals when Fed Chair Jerome Powelll holds a press conference after the decision is announced, which will also drive direction for other markets.
