NSW's largest native animal rescue organisation WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) depends on more than 2500 volunteers across the State to assist in the rescue and care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. WIRES has a dedicated Rescue Call Centre that operates 365 days a year and fields approximately 220,000 calls a year from the public.  We are talking to a volunteer to know what to do when one has to save an animal.... - ವೈರ್ಸ್, ನ್ಯೂ ಸೌತ್ ವೇಲ್ಸ್ ನ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ. ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ೨೫೦೦ ಕ್ಕೂ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಲನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರು ಖಾಯಿಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದ, ಘಾಯಗೊಂಡ ಮತ್ತು ಅನಾಥವಾದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾಲನೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವರ್ಷದ ೩೬೫ ದಿವಸವೂ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಈ ನೆರವಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ೨೨೦,೦೦ ಕರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರ ಸಪ್ತಾಹದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದಾಗ ನೆರವು ಹೇಗೆ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ.
