Consecration is a blessing for you, your family, and generations to come. It's a beautiful gift you can give your family. In today's Show, Phil and Brook break down what consecration means and what it looks like to live a life consecrated to God. They get honest about how it is so easy not to live this way and how we can push against the current culture to move closer to holiness. Life is hard, and we all find things that help us cope or soothe our pain, but it leads us away from consecration and brings us more pain. Brook and Phil squash any elements of shame in this process and bring hope through small, practical ways when we choose little acts of obedience daily. A common theme of this episode circles around the truth that when you give up more of yourself and live a consecrated life, you receive more of God's spirit, which helps you continue to live a holy life and receive His blessings. This work of consecration is so important because what we don't deal with becomes a trap for our children. It is our responsibility to stop sin and release blessings to our children. May this be a part of your legacy in your family? Enjoy!
Three things that make up the idea of consecration:
1)Cleansing
2)Sacrificing
3)Dedication
3 Reasons that hold us back from Consecration:
1)Compromise
2)Carelessness
3)Cowardess
