ETERNAL WORD OF LIFE MINISTRY (EWLM)

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

It pays to persevere in righteousness and acts of charity. Though being righteous and charitable may come with a whole lot of trials and persecutions, persevering in these virtues indeed brings about the vindication of the individual. Be persistent in virtue come what may for the rejected stones are still being made into the corner stones by God.

For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 125, 126, 147 and Isaiah 40:26-31 from 1st to 9th June, 2023.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Like Bartimaeus, many of us; as individuals, families, communities, nations, races and even our entire generation may be feeling so helpless and desperately in need of God's helpless, given the unhealthy circumstances prevalent around us and in our life today. Nevertheless, we're not to despair nor get overwhelmed by challenges for our help shall come from the Lord God, the maker of heaven and earth. It's in the light of this uncontestable fact that we can now cry out to God in the words of Bartimaeus "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us" for the help of man has failed us. May God's help not fail you.

For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 125, 126, 147 and Isaiah 40:26-31 from 1st to 9th June, 2023.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Humility is the foundation and mother of all virtues. Mary's humility and righteousness distinguished her so much so that she recognises that her exalted state is all thanks to God and not in anyway a function of her own uprightness. Nevertheless, given that she was uniquely honoured and exalted by God, she was fervent in righteousness and humility. The greeting of the Archangel Gabriel, that of Elizabeth and Mary's magnificant all point to this fact. We're called upon today to imbibe the virtue of humility and to live in righteousness.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Dearly beloved of God, there will always be every reason to do evil rather good if one looks up to human beings and human establishments rather than to God. Nevertheless, it pays to do good and you must never get tired of doing good. Indeed, those who live in virtue and do good are ever rewarded by God, who is ever faithful. Righteousness pays. By all means, do good and avoid evil.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Unlike the disobedience or Eve and Adam that severed the relationship of God with humanity and the subsequent expulsion of humanity from the garden of Eden (the old church), the obedience of Mary marked the beginning of the realisation of the salvific work of God in Christ Jesus. Haven reconciled humanity and the universe to God, Christ Jesus hands over His newly founded Church to the maternal role of Mary. This sets Mary forth as a model of obedience for us.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

The fool sacrifices the hope of the future on the altar of immediate and transient gains while the wise undertakes self discipline, self denial and hardwork to secure the hope of the future. Do not sacrifice the glory of tomorrow for the pleasures and gains of today.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Just as it's literally impossible to break a bundle of broom but the individual sticks of the brooms that make up the bundle can all be broken one by one within seconds, so too when united in God we can hardly be broken but always succeed. Division would only bring about our downfall and failure in our Christian calling. No divided group makes significant positive impacts in human society. As the children of God, we must stand united always in the Holy Spirit.
