  • Wed. May 24th, 3023 Homily by FadaPeterBenson: HOLY FATHER, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
Our Lord Jesus Christ prays passionately for the oneness of the Christian people today; a unity that is not meant to be limited to a common nomenclature, uniform, ritual, colour or race. It is a unity that is rather grounded in knowing and doing the will of God; a unity founded in and sustained by the Holy Spirit. Let us be one in virtue and in the pursuit of values of the kingdom of God here on earth.

  • Tue. May 23rd, 2023 Homily by FadaPeterBenson: PERSEVERE UNTO VICTORY.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
Just like Jesus Christ did, our perseverance in doing the will of God even amidst persecutions amounts to glorifying God and God in turn glorifies His own by virtue of their perseverance. The power and authority we enjoy from God are given to be employed in the service of God and our fellow human beings in view of the integral and holistic salvation of all. Amidst all, stay faithful in virtue and God Himself will glorify You.

  • Thur. May 18th, 2023 Homily by FadaPeterBenson: JESUS CHRIST, THE MAN OF AUTHORITY.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
Though crucified a victim, Jesus Christ rose triumphant a Victor and ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father, the place of the fulness of authority. With this Divine authority, God the Father confirms Jesus's power over death, darkness and evil. Jesus Christ, therefore, charges us under the same authority to go making disciples of all nations and baptising them. You and I share in this authority to the extent that we possess the Holy Spirit.

  • Wed. May 17th, 2023 Homily by FadaPeterBenson: BE GUIDED BY THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
Having one's life guided by falsehood, faulty foundations and ungodly principles can be self destructive and misleading. In fact, the Scripture relates that "there is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" (cf. Proverbs 14:12). To escape this danger and live enjoying the fulness of God's companionship and blessings, we are to be guided the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit.

  • Tue. May 16th, 2023 Homily by FadaPeterBenson: COURAGE! VICTORY IS OURS.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
The imminent ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven naturally invoked fear in the ife of the apostles. Nevertheless, Jesus Christ reassures them in clear terms that, though they would face trials and challenges, they are to take courage for their victory is certain. In John 16:33 Jesus reassures us clearly; "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." No matter what you've been through and what you're going through, take courage for your victory is guaranteed in Jesus Christ.
