The realistic realisation of not being on the right path of life usually leads a sober, remorseful and repentant sinner who has resolved not to continue in sin to ask the question: What must I do? The same question generally rises in the heart of the upright who has continually suffered experiences that make him/her feel his/her hope dashed. Whatever the case may be, God always has a guide and counsel for us as regards what we must do to be saved, transformed and enjoy the fullness of the glory of the resurrection. Whatever your story may be, keep your eyes on God, seek to sincerely know what you must do, conscientiously do it and you'll enjoy divine intervention that will change your life narrative for good. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The true personal experience of the Risen Lord ends every form of fear and gives the boldness and courage to present Jesus Christ to the world by our word and deed. The Christians of the post resurrection era must rise to work for having the course of the world and humanity guided by Divine Principles rather than mere human principles that are opposed to Divine Principles. This we can start from our homes and immediate circles of influence. Let's begin to change the narrative in the light of God's Word and Principles. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. At this vigil, we await and subsequently experience the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus Christ affirms that God is ever faithful and able to keep his promises. Thus, we're invited to place all our hope in God, trusting in the fulfilment of His promises and persisting in righteousness. Through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, death, sin, darkness, falsehood, injustice, oppression, afflictions, misfortunes and the reign of the devil and his agents are conquered and Jesus Christ, light, the kingdom of God and its values triumph gloriously. Let's go all out, therefore, rejoicing in the glory of the resurrection and in righteousness. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Jesus, the Christ, though God, took our human nature in order to save us. In Him, the sinless was made guilty in order to save the sinful and the condemned. He became cursed that we, the accursed, may become the blessed of God. He was rejected by men that we may be accepted by God as God's own children. He, the innocent, was condemned that we, the guilty, may be acquitted of our guilt. He died that we may live and have eternal life. He shared in our pains that we may share in His gain. He dies on the Cross today that we may live forever. Let's go out today and always to adore, through our veneration of Him and by our virtuous way of life, our Lord Jesus Christ who hangs on the Cross bleeding to death for our salvation. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The passover marked literally the end of the stay of the Israelites in Egypt and the beginning of their Exodus out of Egypt. It marked the beginning of the holistic liberation of the Israelites from Egypt; the land of slavery, poverty, hard labour, oppression, afflictions and alienation from God. It marked the beginning of their restoration. God saves His people with His mighty arm. At the passover meal, Jesus Christ established the new and eternal covenant in His own blood to save and restore humanity; ending pur slavery to sin, the reign of evil, darkness, afflictions and misfortune. Haven made us adopted children of God, He sends us out today to carry on with this mandate of redeeming and restoring our fellow human beings. Get ready! Your salvation, redemption and restoration are at hand. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Living your life doing the will of God makes you a vessel of God's glory. Every vessel/instrument of God does not only carry the glory of God but manifests God's glory and shares in God's glory. Like Jesus Christ, if you live like a true child of God, God is glorified in you and God in turn glorifies you. This is because as a bearer of God's glory through whom God's glory is made to manifest, you also share in the fulness of that same glory. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. In today's Gospel, Jesus tells Judas; "the poor you always have with you, but you do not have me always" (cf. Jn. 12:8). We must always take advantage of every moment of our life to serve God through Jesus Christ and our fellow human beings with the highest level of reverence, devotion, loyalty, submissiveness and love. This is because we may not always have the opportunity to. We must, therefore, eschew any form of excuse capable of deterring us from serving God wholeheartedly; no matter how plausible the excuse may appear to be. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Jesus died to save you. You're called today to live serving Him fervently for the rest of your life; a service you're to render to Him by serving others in a bid to secure their holistic salvation. He entered Jerusalem today triumphant to fulfil His destiny, led away to Calvary in humiliation to die the shameful death of the cross, yet arose from the dead victorious in order to save humanity. Ascending into heaven and sending us the promised Holy Spirit, He gives us the mandate and charge to carry on with His work of salvation; a mandate we can only discharge and fulfil by offering Him ourselves and our all in the service of humanity so as to bring about their holistic salvation. Hence, haven died to save you, He charges you now to live to serve Him for the rest of your life. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Scripture relates that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (cf. Rom. 3:23) and that the wages of sin is death (cf. Rom. 6:23). Hence, like the Israelites of old, we're condemned by God, rejected by Him and doomed for eternal damnation as a result of our sins. Nevertheless, in His never ending compassion, mercy and love He came in our human nature in the person of Jesus Christ in order to save us from sin, damnation and death, thereby bringing us life Eternal and restoring us into full communion with God our Father. May you find peace and the fullness of life in God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
