ETERNAL WORD OF LIFE MINISTRY (EWLM)

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. It's not enough to be a member of a covenant. One must be a faithful adherent to enjoy the fullness of the benefits of the said covenant. Here is the point Jesus Christ wanted communicating to His Jewish audience in the Gospel passage of today. As the children of God and members of the new covenant establish in the blood of Jesus Christ, just as we have the right to enjoy all the benefits and rights due to this new covenant, we also have the responsibility of living out the terms of this covenant. We must make genuine efforts to be God's children not just in name but at heart and by pur way of life. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Jesus Christ is the eternal truth. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. If He makes you free, you're free indeed. Little wonder then that He admonishes us that we'll know Him and He the truth will set us free. A life lived outside of Jesus Christ is imprisonment and emptiness but the life lived in Christ Jesus is true freedom for He'll guide us in the way of truth, peace, freedom and life. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Though we continuously sin and provoke God to anger, His mercy is greater than the sins of the whole world put together, and this mercy of His endures forever. This explains why God would prefer forgiving our sins rather than punish us when He sees us truly repented of our sins and with genuine remorsefulness we come to Him to seek forgiveness and the grace not to sin again. To this effect, then, no matter how sinful we may be, we must trust in God's mercy and grace to seek His forgiveness, turn away from sin and live the life of virtue. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The life of the upright goes beyond just the avoidance of sin. He/she must not only resist evil, endure evil but condemn evil in its totality. God, whose mercy is eternal, always forgives our sins. Nevertheless, He encourages us to live a new life devoid not only of ungodliness but characterised by virtue and resistance to and condemnation of social injustice and evil of any kind. Hence, God forgives our sins today and sends us forth to sin no more. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Availing ourselves for God's use does not in any way reduce us but, on the contrary, gives us the privilege and opportunity to collobarorate with God and participate in His Divine plans in bringing about the salvation of humanity. Today, celebrating the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary is presented to us as a model in doing the will of God and serving the will of God in bringing to reality God's plan to save all people. We're God's for we're created by God, in God and for God (cf Jn. 1:3; Col. 1:16). TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. "Many are the trials of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them from all of them." (Psalm 34:19). We're presented today with the conspiracy against Jesus Christ, but given that Jesus Christ is a righteous person and on a righteous course, God did not only deliver Him from all His trials but gave Him victory. Keep firm in righteousness, virtue, faithfulness and your quest for perfection. God will not only deliver you from them all but grant you victory and glorify You. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. God does not take pleasure in the death of the sinner but that he may repent and have life. This is because God is slow to anger and abounding in love. God is tender, compassionate, and merciful. Take courage, dear of God, and approach the throne of God's mercy and compassion that He may show you mercy and bless you. More so, God invites us to participate in dispersing His mercy, love, compassion, and blessings. We are called to stand in the gap to intercede for our generation and draw them nearer to God and God nearer to them. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY IS A DIVINE MANDATE AND A DIVINE PROJECT. TO THIS EFFECT, WE NEED TO BE GUIDED BY GOD IN THE DISCHARGE OF OUR PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES. BEYOND THE QUEST TO RAISE "GREAT" CHILDREN, WE MUST MAKE A CONSCIENTIOUS EFFORT TO RAISE CHILDREN WHO WILL BE "SAVIOURS" TO THEIR GENERATION AS ORDAINED BY GOD FOR THEM. DO YOU PRIORTISE THE WILL OF GOD IN THE DISCHARGE OF YOUR PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND THE UPBRINGING OF YOUR CHILDREN?
