Melody
It's the magic of the melody that makes a song stick in our minds.
The most beautiful memories we come across as fans of music are often related to the melody of a song and the way it makes us feel.
So what is Melody?
Wikipedia defines melody as a linear succession of musical talents that the listener foresees as an entity.
In its most literal sense, a melody is a combination of pitch and rhythm.
When I think of a melody, I picture a single note memorable line played on a lyrical instrument, human voice, saxophone violin guitar....

Chapter 1: Who Stole Your Groove. For so many of us, the concept of being rhythmic was taken at such a young age, we don't even remember it happening. Maybe it was a classmate, a teacher, a family member. Somebody said, you can't dance. You can't tap. You can't drum, you're out of time. Or even worse, get in line. And from then, we struggle. By the time we hit grade school, we're shown a myriad of options on how to think rhythm. And yet nowhere in our Western culture, was it ever implied that we should be feeling rhythm. I'll never forget that first music class. Right after I got that detention, the teacher drew a circle on the board and said this means 1 I won't bother explaining how a circle equals 4...
Let's move along with the idea that you are rhythm, and let's rekindle that magic that you have inside you!

Welcome to Season Two of Everybody Speaks Music. I'm your host, Kris Schulz. For our very first Follow Up Friday episode, I'd like to explain the trajectory of this season. We're going to be trying to fit in all of the components that you'll need to create your own music, by composing it or by improvising it, and also, the elements you'll need to learn other people's music better, and how to interact with other musicians. I really hope you find this season full of value, inspiration, and most importantly, practical takeaways that you can use immediately to enhance your musical journey to get more out of your time with your chosen instrument.
Welcome friends, to Everybody Speaks Music! We're so happy that you could join us for the start of season 2
Today we bring you the inspiring tale of Angie Sandow!
Some say that Angie has too much to talk about as her amazing story includes ;
- being born with a variety of congenital birth defects the most noticeable of which is the limb difference of her right arm and hand,
- being laughed at and excluded as a result of her limb difference,
- being bullied and becoming a bully,
- being judged based on her appearance which impacted her ability to find employment in her younger years,
- forming and playing lead guitar using a prosthetic in her AC/DC Tribute Band called BARE RUMP,
- being diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2014,
- developing frozen shoulder on her right side after receiving life saving treatment for breast cancer,
- fronting her classic rock band LEFTY AND THE GOONs
- riding a modified motorcycle with one (left) hand
Angie founded JUSTRIDIN to share her tales of determination which she does with a sense of humour and conviction. Angie's speaking engagements are like no other - similar to her gigs with BARE RUMP and LEFTY AND THE GOONS, she is full of energy and passion which will inspire you to realize that anything is possible. She may even play a few riffs on her guitar or show you her modified motorcycle!
Angie will customize her presentation based on the needs of your audience and event.

Today is part three of our four part series on how to get your idea from dream to reality and out into the world. And today's episode is called Ship It.
