When I first started playing guitar, I used to love the smell of the case. Every time I'd open it, I'd smell it. Oh, yeah, what a smell. And those of you that own a guitar or an old instrument, whether it's a saxophone or anything that you can port around like a violin, you'll know what I'm talking about. And it was such a thrill when I got to pack that guitar up in the case and go on a journey for the first time. I was about to jam.

Today's episode, Fup Friday. S2E9, is all about playing with other musicians. And again, this is a big topic. So I'm going to keep it fun and light, touch on a few areas that I like talking about. Do you remember how old you were? Or where you were when the inspiration to play music first appeared? Who or what inspired that moment? For me, it was Beatlemania. When I was around the age of eight or nine, my cousin Gord took me to a concert at the Pacific Coliseum. It was called Beatlemania. I didn't even know what a tribute band was. I thought I was actually watching the Beatles. All I know is when I got home from that concert, I knew I wanted to be a professional musician. It wasn't till a few years later, when I heard Metallica ...And Justice for All that I truly took the plunge. Today's episode is all about emulation.
