Clause 9 of the Nationality and Borders Bill has recently passed through the House of Commons and is on its way to becoming law if passed by the House of Lords. Six million of the UK's population is of an ethnic minority background and/or has dual nationality.   

Clause 9 gives the government the right to deprive British people of their citizenship without informing them first. Clause 9 can be invoked if its 1) in the interests of national security 2) in the interests of the relationship between the UK and another country 3) otherwise in the public interest - this is left to the discretion of the Home Secetary.
