If you think you know this case, please listen to our 2 parter on it.
On August 20th 1989, Lyle and Erik Menendez would brutally murder their parents, as the unexpecting couple sat watching a James Bond movie.
Was this just two entitled young men, who killed their parents so that they could collect the life insurance, as well as their father Jose's 14 million dollar estate?
Or were these two people who had been viciously, sexually emotionally, and physically abused for the better part of their lives.  We want to hear what you think.  DM us @everythingscarypod or email us at [email protected]

Sources for this case are: The televised trials, and testimony of both Lyle and Erik Menendez, prison phone calls from both Lyle and Erik, both brothers facebooks accounts, Cnn.com, Barbara Walters prison house interview, 'The Menendez Murders' by Robert Rand. abc.news, latimes.com, courttv.com, nytimes.com, aetv.com

Disgraced Colonel Russel Williams, does not fit the normal Serial killer/sexual offender profile..1st he started when he was 44! and 2nd- he was an extremely well respected member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, he grew in rank so quickly and by 2009 he was to be referred to as Colonel Russel Williams. he and his wife Mary Elizabeth lived separate lives during the week. Being that he was based out of Trenton, it was much closer to the couples Tweed cottage, than their Ottawa home. sadly there had been a string of B & E's in tweed......and also in Ottawa (but only on weekends) and these attacks just kept escalating, until the murder of Marie France Comeau, who was an air force flight attendant, who was under the command of none other than, Colonel Russel Williams.........  The beauty in this case though is the interrogation Det. Jim Smith needs a round of applause.  This is the case of disgraced Russel Williams

Hey y'all!!!   So this Tuesday, Matt and I are covering the tragic death of Conor Loren Clapton .
A lot of you listening to this may have no clue we are even talking about, but Eric Clapton was a HUGE star starting in the 60's, and even today at 78 he will still perform.  Some of his hits included; Layla,  If I could change the world, You look wonderful tonight, Look into my fathers eyes, and likely, the most memorable "Tears in heaven"
I knew of this case, from childhood....  I knew that Erics young son fell from  high rise, luxury apartment,  but any information I had was through broke telephone.  So I did a deep dive, and this case will explain the lyrics to Clapton's hit song Tears in Heaven  This is a heartbreaking one... get your tissues ready, and don't play Tears in Heaven on repeat after listening to the Pod.  I can speak from experience, shockingly, it really doesn't help.....https://youtu.be/ZqtyQuXo9zM

Both parts available on Patreon right now!!
The 80's were a wild time, am I right? and this water park fit right in. There was not a ride in this park that was designed by anyone with any type of engineering degree. The injuries were severe, the deaths were more than just a few sadly, but if you returned to school after summer vacation with horrible injuries covering most of your body, people would assume you had been to action park!
This is our FIRST 2-parter, and patreons get to listen to both episodes right now! I would love to hear your feed back on this one! Part 2 is filled with fire tennis balls being launched from battle tanks, more deaths and part 2 will be in your feeds on April 11th. Or you can go to patreon now and heat them both https://www.patreon.com/EverythingScaryPod571

June and Jennifer Gibbons were born on April 11th of 1963.  Even as infants the two had a truly unique bons, and even insisted on being nursed together.  As they grew into toddlers, they made a pact that they would only even speak to each other, and to eliminate the chance of someone over hearing them and understanding, they even had their own language that they invented and only they understood it.   their parents; Gloria and Aubrey tried to do right by their daughters but, understandably, when they would sit down to dinner every night and ask their "twinies" questions about how their day had been , and the girls would just stare down at their plate, it began to take its toll.  as the girls got older, they decided to try a life of doing drugs, burglary, and having sex.....with the same boy of course.  The girls ended up having to spend some time in a facility designed to help and reform them.  the had tried separating them on a couple of occasions and the consequences were absolutely  awful. It was beginning to look like, in order for even one of them to try and live a normal life, they would have to be separated.....More permanently i would love to hear your thoughts on this absolutely bizarre case
