  • Sunshine - Episode 41

Are y’all ready for spaceships, licking ass, and burning into crispy pieces of bacon?!?! That's what’s in store for this episode while Steph discusses the movie Sunshine! Donna only cares that Cillian Murphy is in this film. Listen as she asks “How hot is the sun?” in the most deadpan serious way. Stephany fights for her life to argue that this movie inspired Pixar’s Wall-E. This episode is all over the place like we are hurtling towards the sun. So come along and get ready to not understand this film either, and if you think you do, you’re insane.

So come along as hot as hell Sharon stone sleeps with 47 year old Micheal Douglas in this mystery/porno, but definitely more so a porno, and hear about how one of us (Donna) appreciated this movie for teaching us what an ice pick is really used for. It’s a killer!

Steph explains this movie to Donna who only cares to find out why Oscar Issac did this movie. Who did he owe a favor to in Hollywood? Did Jon Hamm owe some favors too?

  • Adaptation - Episode 34

Steph is stepping into the crazy world of Charlie Kaufman today as Donna talks about the 2002 film Adaptation. Donna has the hard job of explaining to Steph how this film is fiction and at the same time nonfiction, but it won’t matter because Steph won’t remember by tomorrow. We got the Bermuda Triangle of places in this film, California, New York, and of course Florida! Nic Cage is playing twins, a ghost orchid, and Meryl Streep, you can’t go wrong with this film. Also, Donna forgets how to use the mic in the beginning but by the 13-minute mark, she figures it out! Sorry about that. Some come along and try not to get eaten by gators as we try our best to describe this hella confusing film!

About Explain It Me

From the publisher's feed

Explain It Me is a weekly comedy podcast hosted by two best friends Donna and Stephany, where each week one gets through the challenge of explaining the entire plot of a film with three rules: the plot has to be confusing, the host must be drunk to tell it, and the other host has never seen it.
