Exploring Boundaries and Barriers-Finding associations with tidal waves and calm ripples

Listen Later

Boundaries can help people feel safe and in control, leading to healthy relationships. Boundaries can also help people build trust, safety, and respect in their relationships. Setting healthy boundaries can also help people lower stress, increase life satisfaction, and improve their self-esteem. Self-made boundaries that prevent growth create barriers. (i.e., boundaries made because of lack of experience or knowledge from families or culture). Negative self-talk learned from toxic social interactions or social media may have been a passive form of abuse to control others’ personal growth.

Barriers delineate the separation of geographical areas. On the same note, emotional barriers are mental blocks that can prevent people from expressing their thoughts and feelings openly. They can also affect how people interpret others’ behavior, impacting how they form arguments. Emotional barriers can stem from a variety of sources, including fear, anxiety, anger, past experiences, or personal beliefs. They can also be positive, such as happiness. Ignorance can also be a barrier.

In this episode, I hope you will join me as we explore using barriers as platforms to excel in our limitations and as steps to climb toward new heights of calmness and creativity. Allow me to guide you in practicing releasing negative forces while being aware of your inner positive strength.
