For years, you've heard us sing the D.B. Cooper song; now you're going to hear us talk about him. Just because no one knows what actually happened to Dan Cooper after he jumped out of that plane with a bag full of cash doesn't mean TV writers can't speculate about it in their entirely fictional shows. Three shows -- Leverage, Prison Break, and NewsRadio -- had three very different versions of how he could have ended up; we're leaping in to all three with today's very special episode!

The Crown is back with the first half (or so) of its final season; as it sends off Princess Diana, Heather Cocks joins us to discuss whether the season had to happen at all. Around The Dial takes us through The Real Housewives Of New York, Killing It, the second season of Julia, and the latest episode of Opera Wars, aka The Gilded Age. Heather makes the case for For All Mankind's "Hi Bob" to be inducted into The Canon. Then, after naming the week's Winner and Loser, it's on to a Game Time you and all your nieces can enjoy. Our esteemed colleague Alan Sepinwall is back, mate(y)! An Australian spin-off of an already banal cop-show franchise is maybe not the best use of his time, but we talked about NCIS-franchise stock characters, unmemorable TV for aging parents, and what happens when English actors try to play ugly Americans. Later, we went Around The Dial with The Curse, The O.C., and Murder One before wondering whether God is dead during Mike's The Leftovers Canon presentation. Alex P. Keaton won, Nickelodeon execs lost, and Game Time had us Quantum Leap-ing into TV characters -- all that and more on an all-new Extra Hot Great, oh boy!

AppleTV+'s new dramedy is a series adaptation of the famously unfinished Edith Wharton novel The Buccaneers; Margaret H. Willison joins us to discuss how it compares to the many other current and recently past entires into the thriving genre of corset TV. Around The Dial takes us through Married At First Sight, Beckham, and Get Gotti, with just a little bit more on The Gilded Age than we already discussed in relation to our lead topic. Erin makes the case for the Spaced episode "Gone" to be inducted into The Canon. Then, after naming the week's Winners and Losers, we ROLE into a returning Game Time! Find a little time to yourself -- a nine-day Atlantic crossing should be plenty -- and join us!

Showtime's new limited series, Fellow Travelers, takes us back to the 1950s AND the 1980s via Matt Bomer's closeted Don Draper-esque life and loves -- and the great Joe Reid is back in the guest chair to talk about whether the whole is less than the sum of a few very good parts; what Roy Cohn content might do a better job with midcentury context than this show; and how much sex creates character development. Then we went Around The Dial with Everyone Else Burns, The Fall of the House of Usher, and Paramount+'s Milli Vanilli documentary, and Tara plotted to get a tenth (!) Simpsons episode into the Canon. Seth Rogen's ceramics hobby won, an ex-SNL writer lost, and we piled into the virtual minivan for a road-trippy Game Time. Moisturize your necks: it's an all-new Extra Hot Great!

Appointment Television and Ars Technica's Andrew Cunningham returns to talk about the return of Frasier, and whether it was necessary. Should the creators have taken a hint from the universe (and David Hyde Pierce)? Could the re-imagining of the beloved original have worked with a few conceptual tweaks? Would we advise you to watch it, or take Eddie for a walk instead? Later, we went Around The Dial with Shining Vale's second season, Home Movies, AHS: Roanoke, and updates on Devil's Plan and House Of Usher, then pinned on our corsages for a Canon entry on a super-size episode of The Venture Bros.. JFK won, walkers lost, and points for trying was more than a metaphor in a b-b-b-b-brilliant Game Time. We'll meet you at the copyright-compliant local tavern for an all-new Extra Hot Great!
