Welcome to Surge’s Faith, Work, and Rest podcast. Our goal is to help ordinary people discern their vocations and reimagine their occupations for the good of their neighbors and the glory of God.
In this episode we listen to a clip from Dr. Michael Goheen‘s talk about the importance of reading the Bible as a story. It’s the grand narrative that gives meaning to all of life. This was originally recorded at the Surge School’s Quarter 1 Intensive.
Michael Goheen is Director of Theological Education (MTC) and Scholar-in-Residence (Surge Network). He divides his time between Vancouver, B.C. and Tempe, AZ. He’s the author of several books including The Drama of Scripture, Living at the Crossroads, and A Light to the Nations. He has been married to Marnie for 36 years. He has four adult married children and nine grandchildren.
