In the midst of one of the greatest threats our North American public lands have ever faced, we are seeing hunters and outdoors men and women alike coming together and taking a stand against Utah Senator Mike Lee's greedy attempt to sell off what does not belong to him.  In a special episode release, we are joined by John Stallone from HOWL for Wildlife and Jesse Johnson; an avid public land owner to discuss this very issue.  Senator Lee's efforts are far from any honest effort to create affordable housing or assist with national economic relief.  Instead it is a vicious attempt to rob the American people of what is rightfully theirs under the cloak of conservatism, with underlying motives that are only self-serving.  We dive deep into the nuts and bolts of this public land crisis in this episode, and several other issues.  If there is ever a time for hunters to be political and to stand for what they believe in, it is now.  Call your Senators - (202) 224-3121 and tell them to stop the sale of our Public Lands.

Sam is joined this week by two of our own Colorado Resident Hunters; Tim Berges and John Kesler to talk about some of the current hunting and conservation issues Colorado is facing right now.  There is a lot to unpack on this subject and in this episode, specifically 2025 hunting season expectations and game numbers, upcoming 2028 draw changes and what to do with your accrued points between now and then, the "Stop the Wolf" project to end the wolf reintroduction, and much more.  The guys also discuss a new measure; "Initiative 98" coming to light in Colorado, that if gained traction could have a bigger impact on hunting in Colorado than Proposition 127 EVER would have.  It doesn't matter where you live or where you hunt, you need to listen to what these guys have to say and pay attention to what is happening on the conservation battlefield right now.

Hunting and the Outdoors have been known to have a therapeutic impact on those who truly value and appreciate its power and significance.  But for some the events of life can continually encroach on natural God-given outlets, and some need assistance to help refocus and overcome challenges.  This week's podcast guest is Zack Butterfield; a therapist with a unique approach to mental health and helping his patients.  As the author of the book "Hunting for Happiness", Zack is a hunter and outdoorsman himself and uses the therapeutic effects and influences of hunting and the outdoors to help those specifically from more rural areas who may not relate as much to a therapist who has known nothing but steel and concrete.  Zack shares with us his journey which has lead to his unique approach of helping others.  As a resident "western hunter", we are sure to talk some hunting with Zack, including his story of his very first Black Bear hunt from this year.  This a great conversation bringing perspective to a unique and important need within humanity.

Hunting camp is where life-long friendships are formed, memories are made, stories are told and good times are had.  This year in Texas was no exception!  This episode joins Chad, Kess, Drew, Nick, Carter and Sam; the crew from Fall Obsession's 2025 Texas Turkey hunt as they recap an exceptional (and slightly warm) weekend chasing thunderchickens in the Lone Star State!  The guys talk about the highs and the lows, the challenges of hunting turkeys in Texas compared to other areas, bow hunting and hog hunting, and much more!  Nick and Chad recap their successful hunts from the weekend, and the guys revisit a strange occurrence from the first night in camp having seen something very unusual after dark.  One thing is for sure, you may never know what Texas has in store but it is always a good time!

He's just a southern guy who loves hunting and the outdoors, but you may recognize him as one of the funniest and most relatable people on your social media feed.  Trent Ellis is our guest on this week's podcast, and we have one heck of a good time!  Trent is one of the most down-to-earth people you will ever find, and he shares with us his background and the journey that lead him to creating the online comedy videos and skits we all know and love.  We talk a lot about hunting, take some trips down memory lane, and our discussion over our favorite hunting season snacks resulted in Trent adding some items to his grocery list.  It was a pleasure to spend an hour with Trent, who at the end of the day is just like the rest of us and always finding comedic ways to make light of every day occurrences.

It takes a lot of dedication, hard work and patience to make it in a saturated hunting industry filled with online content creators.  There are different avenues many follow during their own growth, and some are better than others.  This week our host Sam dives into the mindset of a Brand Ambassador in the outdoor industry.  The key takeaways from this episode include setting you and/or your brand apart, developing and cultivating quality relationships, building trust and authenticity, and certainly what NOT to do along the way.  Sam views the Brand Ambassador from the perspective of both the creator and the organization and highlights the importance to representing both your affiliates and hunting in general with respect.  If you have the words "Brand Ambassador", "Field Staff" or "Pro Staff" next to your name, or if you are thinking about representing an organization in such a capacity, then this is a must listen.
