Schmel and Yael were at the Hanukkah event with seven of their 10 children. When the shooting began, they threw themselves over two who were within reach to protect them. But in the chaos and panic, they were separated from their other children - and describe the horrifying moments they searched for eachother while gunshots rang out.  Their story was shared by reporter Erin Ramsay on A Current Affair.
