A Tough Question
What’s a single living in the midst of a pandemic supposed to do? Shelter in place… alone? Do single folk no longer get to mix and mingle, Netflix and chill, or have the sex while we’re in the age of the Ronia?

A Tough Question: Should journalists vote?
That’s this week’s tough question, inspired by a New York Times article No Politics Till the 7th Date? How Journalists Stay Impartial. In particular, Tre’Vell and Jarrett responded to what journalist Peter Baker said:
As reporters, our job is to observe, not participate, and so to that end, I don’t belong to any political party, I don’t belong to any non-journalism organization, I don’t support any candidate, I don’t give money to interest groups and I don’t vote.
Spoiler alert: Tre’Vell and Jarrett don’t share this opinion.
DIS/Honorable Mentions
Tre’Vell - Democratic candidates dropping out of presidential race
Jarrett - Tatyana Ali
Tre’Vell - Oprah Winfrey
Jarrett - School cafeteria food
Tre’Vell - Chris Matthews
Jarrett - Mercury in retrograde

February 13, 2020 Why You’re Wrong About Gayle King and Kobe Bryant
On this week’s show, Tre’Vell gives us a quick run through of the highs and lows of this year’s Oscars. Spoiler alert: Billy Porter’s outfit gives them feelings.
For our FANTI segment, Tre’Vell and Jarrett get into all of the drama surrounding the blowback Gayle King received for practicing journalism by asking WNBA star Lisa Leslie about Kobe Bryant’s legacy, including his rape allegation.

February 06, 2020 Kevin Hart
Welcome to FANTI, a podcast about being a fan when the people and things you love don’t always do right! Your hosts, Tre’vell Anderson and Jarrett Hill are here to help you navigate the complex and complicated conversations about the gray areas in our lives.

In our first episode Tre’vell shares the story of an Iowa Democratic Caucus voter who somehow didn’t know Mayor Pete is gay in a segment called Pass the Popcorn. Our FANTI topic for the week is Kevin Hart, as we revisit his Oscars controversy and discuss how he’s still navigating the consequences a year later. And make sure to stick around for our segment Dis/Honorable mentions where we’ll shout out (and sometimes shout at) those who made the news this week.

Sometimes the people, places, and things we love don't love us back. We're fans, but we also have some ANTI- feelings toward them. Every week on FANTI, journalists Tre'vell Anderson and Jarrett Hill bring their pop culture and political expertise to things we must stan and stand up against. FANTI is a place where nuance reigns supreme with energetic, complicated, and sometimes difficult conversations that bring deep knowledge and thoughtful perspective to the things we love and rage about, from the White House to the Real House(wives).
