It’s time to get fearless, baby fearlessly fertile. Let’s do this. Welcome to the Fearlessly Fertile Podcast, episode 3 36 from six failed IVFs to a Christmas miracle, naturally SuperCAT and Francois Story loves. I’m so excited to be here with you this week with another testimony of triumph from one of my miracle mamas and miracle papas, and this story is.
Extraordinary. All of these stories of success are amazing, but this one includes a Christmas miracle. And if you are losing your faith, if you’re worried this is never gonna happen for you, turn this episode up, bookmark it, download it. Do whatever you have to do to never freaking forget it because you are going to hear that SuperCAT and Francois the.
The cards were stacked against them. SuperCAT was even told she needed a gestational carrier and a donor egg. But as you are going to hear this amazing Kabaka Couple was able to turn it all around and they’re gonna share exactly how they did it. So here is my interview, an amazing conversation with SuperCAT and Francois.
Well, so why don’t we start off you two by you sharing a little bit. About how you found yourselves on this journey.
Of course. So, um, I’ll start. Um, so we met during the pandemic and at that point I was 35, kind of like desperate to find the right guy and start having a family and everything. And, um, I was already planning to freeze my eggs because I was.
Uh, single and 35, but everything shut down because of the pandemic, including fertility clinics. So, um, but that was still, uh, on my mind. But, um, when I met Francois, we, uh, we talked. Very early in our relationships that we wanted to have kids and we decided to still go on with freezing my eggs, like as a plan B for maybe a future baby.
Mm-hmm.
Because, um, I wanted to be very sure that it would work.
Mm-hmm. And it was also, uh, a, a good opportunity for us to secure in a sense a second baby.
Yeah.
And then to, uh, try naturally for the first one. And, uh, yeah, that’s, that’s how we worked there.
You know, isn’t it funny how, I mean, we’ll get into the story more, but isn’t it crazy how life just works out?
How we get surprised along the way about like how our story is going to unfold?
Yeah, but I think it’s true, but in a good way, but sometimes in like in a bad way as well. Because when, you know, as you would say, like I’m very like a type A control free, recovering perfectionist.
You’re not recovering, you’re
trying, trying recover.
And so for me, freezing my eggs was kind of an interim plan. Uh, uh, plan for us because since it was my biggest dream, I really wanted to have two kids at least. Um, but the little that we knew, we like going to fertility clinic, we kind of fell to, into a vortex of fertility problems because. Contacting them, they started to like, gave us all the clues about the fact that my fertility wasn’t maybe that good at that point.
Um, so we kind of like started our, um, journey to parenthood and to baby making with the idea that it would be hard. Because I al already, already knew all my numbers and stats and everything because I, the plan was to freeze the, the eggs. So we froze the eggs and then we tried for. Six months naturally.
Mm-hmm. But then they were like, come back because you’ll need us for the rest. So it was kind of like negative from the beginning for us for, for that part of. Life,
but I, I was clearly on board from the get go and so, uh,
why wouldn’t you be friends while, look at her,
see her. She’s amazing. But my wish to have children, although wasn’t as existential.
And then Katherine Katherine’s basically a life goal. And I was really supporting of that. And then it grew on me, of course, uh, with the months and the years. And uh, as Catherine mentioned, we were a relatively young couple at that’s. Stage. But, uh, with our age also, uh, being a, in a sense, a lead couple, uh, it made sense to, uh, to go forward with that plan because we knew, we both knew what we wanted in life in a partner, and we both found it.
And so it was the right moment and, uh, but it was really difficult that, as Ken mentioned, and in the end. Uh, in a total of basically two years, we underwent three I UIs and six IVF, and, uh, most IVF rounds gave us very few frozen eggs or none at all. And yeah, it was, it was tough.
Yeah. So what was that like for you guys?
’cause if we rewind it and we look, I mean, I know that today you’re like three I UIs. Six I vfs. I mean it, it’s like, you know, taking out the trash, right? It’s like something, so it becomes very commonplace. But at the same time, here you were, you know, you were already hit really quickly with this negative story.
Yeah. And it’s like a mind virus that gets in your head that this is going to be hard.
Yes, totally.
And then you find yourself. ’cause you know, most people figure, ah, IUI, you know, this is, I’ll be able to do it. But after each one that you do, and it’s not happening, like, what did you guys start to notice happening in your life?
Oh, I beca I became crazy. I, yeah, it’s, it’s like, like all my life, all my, yeah. Not all my hours because I was working, but like most of my day was about thinking about what’s the next step? What should I do? What should I read? What should I try to make all this better, easier, more effective, more so. You know, I did yoga, I did acupuncture, I did physical therapy, psychotherapy.
I took Chinese herbs. I, at some point, Rosanna was taking, I think like 250, um, vitamin tablets a month. Yeah.
Yeah.
That’s disgusting. Yeah. Yeah. That’s just disgusting. But I was like, so focused and all the lotions and potions and everything that my life, my, like my, my day to day was like filled with appointments and.
You know, Catherine is a research journalist, so she basically earned a, a PhD level education and all of this thing, but in the end, she figured all of this out. So
Francois like, like, what did you think about all of this? Like, because here’s this beautiful woman that you fell in love with and you’re gonna have a family with, and she’s taking 250 tablets a month.
Well, when that lady wants something, she gets it. That’s, and I know, and, uh, 99% of the time I’m onboarded. So it’s great. Uh, and, uh, of course, uh, it was all, it was a struggle. We needed to do all kinds of stuff, and I don’t even mention the injections. We remove the plastic in the house. We, we bought air filters, water filters, but, uh, in the mindset, uh, kind of sense, uh.
I am kind of, uh, complimentary, uh, to Catherine on that. I’m a very calm person. Yeah. I’m not really stressed out. And so that’s in, in all kinds of ways in our couple, that’s how we work. And, uh, she’s really, she goes forward and she fights for stuff and she’s really motivated, but I’m a. I’m a calming Yeah.
And rational person on the side that, uh, grounds things a little bit.
Yeah. Let’s
say. Yeah. He’s
way more grounded than I am. More than I was. I’m still trying that. I’m still trying to be more. Yeah. Um, but yeah, I think it was, it was hard for me. I was like in a very bad place and he was seeing all this and I think it made him very sad and very, yeah.
Angry. It’s
mostly sadness. Yeah. Yeah. And uh, it, it’s really unfortunate to see your partner just. Get into that dark space because that’s not what the assumption was. We were assigned. Uh, the assumption was that you go to an i VF clinic and you, you pop maybe one or two cycle of frozen eggs and then you have like 15 of them and then you go naturally for first one a, first bb, and then we would have that bank account of eggs in a sense just to, to make sure everything is fine, but.
Soon enough, uh, things went awi and, uh, medical, uh, physicians were just telling us, oh, you don’t have much of a chance. Your eggs are bad. Uh, we’re not sure about what’s going on. And after a few procedures, we found out that. They were at a loss basically. And we, we exhausted our resources in Montreal and we went to upstate New York.
We went to the US in general, we went to Ontario. And yeah, it was all a big quest and it’s difficult to, to remain grounded.
Wow. Well, so what was that like for you guys? Because it, it you, they were at a loss, so there was no diagnosis.
No, no, no, no, no.
Because
we still dealt with this
because the, yeah,
we still dealt, we have no idea what
happened and because the numbers were not.
Bad. Like my F-S-H-A-M-H, uh, uh, a FC, uh, were not that bad. My
numbers were okay as
well. Yeah. And, and when, when when we had, um, egg retrievals, I, I would have many eggs, but they were, they wouldn’t realize, so they would not, uh, and they didn’t know what embryos, so four. Of our six IVF cycles, we had zero embryo.
And you know, after one or two or three with zero embryo, like doctors were like, forget it lady. What the
egg is going
on? It’s, it’s not gonna work.
Have you considered adoption? Have you considered adoption
or well, or donor eggs or, um,
surrogates.
Yeah. And brio and like Don. Well isn’t
it you guys, isn’t it crazy?
How quickly, with very little information you start to hear. You need a donor egg. Yeah. You need a gestational carrier. And you’re like, well, nobody’s telling me if there’s anything wrong with my uterus. Mm-hmm. Like, why are we talking about the, why am I going to abandon my body so fast?
Course, yes. And for me it was very hard to, you know.
Build that trust in my body because, you know, as a woman we often, you know, don’t trust or don’t like or don’t appreciate, uh, everything that our bodies do for us. Mm-hmm. Um, so it was kind of.
Body image issues,
body image issues, and like all these stuff were coming back, like mixing with what the doctors would say about my body and, and um, so I decided that if they’re not able to find an answer, I would find an answer.
Yes. Very early on. She’s in research journal. That’s what she does in life.
Yeah. So I, you know, I consulted with like. Dozens of fertility specialists in all kinds of ways. I change, um, what I ate, I change what I, you know, I did all the testing. I all I, I sent all my fluids Roseanne by mail.
Yes.
And I
sent a few of mine as well.
Yes.
And that’s kind of, I mean, you were a lawyer, but let the record show that collecting your menstrual blood. It is really hard
using devices that apparently are made by men and that don’t capture all the nuances that are made. No.
Yeah. So I send things to Europe, I send things to the us Yeah. And I was like, I want to find an answer because.
Like unexplained infertility. For me, it was just like laziness.
It doesn’t cut it. Exactly. Yeah.
It was like, you’re too lazy to find an answer. I’ll find one
myself. I’ll explain it. Yes.
Yeah,
yeah. Well, I love that you guys woke up to this because my husband and I had the same. Diagnosis. And I was like, you gotta be kidding me.
Yeah. My husband’s five years younger than me. Get that Francois, you know, like having, and, and I’m like, and I feel, you know, I’m physically, biologically young, you know, like I felt, I felt alive and I’m like, I just can’t accept
Yeah.
That this is true. But, but the funny thing was is yes, you’re right. I was a prosecutor, but I had learned to give my power.
To people in white coats. Yeah. And that’s not like, I mean, it’s nothing against them. It’s just I didn’t realize I, I wasn’t a research journalist in the same way. Like I thought if somebody had MD after their name mm-hmm. They knew better than me.
That’s true.
But I, I didn’t understand it until much later, how much power I gave away.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
And, you know, when I started to work with you and do your programs, you know, I really started to talk to them and, you know, receive their informations in a very different way. Mm-hmm. And some, sometimes I would even say like, no, no, no. I’ll step from there. I don’t want to know that. I don’t want to know.
I have like 5% chance my embryo will work. I don’t need that
in
my, we’ve been told this before and it, it doesn’t matter. We wanna beat it at the end of the day,
like we’ll do it anyway. So just find something else. Also,
I also think that your baby squad was really empowering and that all the face, like the tens of Facebook groups you subscribed to, and at the end, one of the main takeaways of these groups, I think is that.
Uh, you need to advocate for yourself. Yeah. You need to fight and you, you, you really need not to take what they say for granted. And there are millions of physicians and they basically have a one different opinion on everything and that you need to pick the right one.
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Well, I mean, you. What you found and what I’m so grateful that you found is that you have just as much of a chance of being right as they do.
Mm-hmm. Because nobody knows you like you, and at the end of the day, they go home to their children.
Yeah. Yes.
So you have to do what you need to do to go home to yours. Right,
of course.
And nobody’s ever going to. To fight for your dream harder than you because it’s very easy to just say, oh, 5% chance, forget it.
I mean, in my world, I mean, you know me ’cause we coach together. I mean, I’m like, 5% chance, let’s go.
Yeah.
Yes. You know, I mean, because were, you also heard of the women who come to me with 0% chance and they’re, they’re holding babies naturally today.
And, uh, and, uh, it’s not as if we didn’t give them the tools.
I mean, uh, with many of these, uh, doctors, physicians, we are giving them like 600 pages documents with all of our records. They, they had the opportunity to see everything, but I think at, at one point. Physicians were just like, oh my goodness, this is really a tough one. And they just try stuff.
Yeah.
We figured out early on that at what, after some while they just try stuff.
Yeah. On you?
Yeah.
Mm-hmm. Basically,
and, and also like, like you were saying, like 5%. 5% chance is better than zero. And yes, the only embryos that we had, because we usually had zero embryo, but the only that we had were. Day three embryo because day five are better, but we, we only got day three and some of the, the specialists would say.
D three, that’s like garbage. And I was like, a D three embryo is better than zero embryo. I mean, I, and you
fought so
hard for him.
Come on.
Like it’s, it’s better, it’s better to have something than nothing. Yeah. So, yeah.
Well, I, I think this brings us to a place where we can say they know what they know.
Yeah.
Great.
Mm-hmm.
You know what, you know.
Yes.
Great. Yeah. And. You know, so what did you guys start to do? Because at some point with all of those quote unquote failures, it’s really easy.
Mm-hmm.
To want to give up and say, Hey, I’m the only one that believes this. Mm-hmm. So why don’t you share a little bit about how we met, because that is an interesting plot twist.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Yeah. So I was, you know. It was going very badly. Um, I was shooting in all directions,
doom, scrolling
and yeah, crawling. And I was in total, total fear. And like I would, I would wake POIs up at night, like asking him, him, and like, at 3:00 AM what if we don’t have a baby? What if it doesn’t work?
And I was like, always like super stressed out and consumed about. This.
And I remember, uh, a after one failed IVF round, we basically had a discussion about, uh, is this too much? You know, uh, does, does it still make sense? And, uh, basically I, I told Catherine that. Uh, I know it’s your dream and I don’t want to be the partner on which, uh, you basically become, uh, some kind of bitter person because you abandon your dreams and this will not happen on my watch.
Yeah. So, yes.
Oh my gosh. Francois, do you have brothers?
I like, there’s, there’s, that might wanna be part of your. Family now because,
so yeah, it was the best. It was like always by my side, but still I was. But
it’s still hard. It’s still a lot of
weight to pull. Of course. Yeah. So, so I, one of my friends was your client on the spo. Yeah. And she introduced me to, uh, your podcast and then your books.
So I started to like seeing such a difference in my energy, in my empowerment, in my motivation. And I was like, always. If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a hell no. So like every day I would like tell myself
Yeah,
like all these things that you’re saying in your podcast and
even before you went in the program.
Yeah. It wasn’t even
before,
uh uh, some, uh, some differences already.
And then you came to Montreal during your world tour and we got to meet you and, um. And I really, I felt in love with your energy and I was like, after that I was like on drugs and I’ve never done any drugs before. Good drugs, but I was like, oh my God, I can’t do anything now that I know Roseanne.
So, um, and you know, after, uh, a couple of weeks of that very big energy, you know, some of. Other bad news happened. Um, and, you know, it kind of like yeah. Toned down a bit, but, um, I discovered that you were doing, doing the full throttle, uh, program, uh, during the summer. So I, um, I decided to, um. To attend that and it really liked was a 90 days that not only changed my fertility journey, but I think like my life.
Yes. And uh, the days that she was actually doing the thing, instead of doing a couple of days, uh, all at once because she, sometimes she was running late, but the day she was doing it, I, I. See, are all mood and motivation changing? Yeah. So, uh, I, I, I know it made a difference. And I think also that it’s different fighting from a place of despair.
Then from a place of hope.
Yeah.
And, uh, I never doubted our determination. She’s a very determined person, but it, it’s really different fighting from those two different stances.
Oh, that’s such an excellent point. Francois, like I, I. That’s exactly the case because when you’re fighting from fear or lack or scarcity, it’s mere survival.
Yeah.
But when you’re fighting from your vision, you’re fighting from the calling to be a mother or calling to be a father, you bring very different energy. It’s a very different level of determination and you know, and I have to ask you super fast. What was it like being woken up at 3:00 AM by Cat saying, what if we don’t have a baby?
Okay. It’s really fine. Uh, I, the thing is, it, it is great with my sleep is that, uh, I, I, I go to sleep so fast, so it’s not as big as a deal as you might think. But, uh,
yeah, and he, he, Catherine
is different.
I was, he was always like, I prefer that you wake me up,
that, that you
don’t sleep that, that you don’t sleep and like be alone with all your,
I’ll take
that moment emotions.
So, yeah.
Oh, that’s so, you know, I remember, it’s so funny that you guys shared that because I remember doing the same thing, like, you know, just waking up with anxiety. And, and terrorized,
yeah.
That this dream that I had and I would have to go to court in the morning, so I had to get it together, you know, and I, you know, but I would be so afraid.
So I, I think that there are gonna be so many women that can relate to that because, you know, but don’t do. What you did and share it with Francois like you, I, I think that was such a smart thing. So, so we meet in Montreal. Yeah. You do the program. Francois notices that you are less crazy or maybe it’s
still
a bit crazy, but in a good sense that Yeah, the good crazy sense, you know, still super motivated, still super, uh, on mission, but from a different place.
Yeah. I think I was more in the, like, I. Like a not fun because it, it’s not fun. But, you know, I was trying to have fun in different aspects of my life. Trying Yeah.
It brought balance in your
life. Yeah. Balance, sense. Balance. Yeah. I, I, I tried to like build something else that wasn’t like only baby related.
Mm-hmm.
Uh, we, you
know, it’s so, it’s okay if we take some ice cream from time to time.
Yeah. It’s okay to have a vacation. It’s okay to. Because I was crazy. Like it’s okay to, to drink water from, I don’t know where, you know, it’s just at some point I had to calm down and like just believe that like. That the signs were coming, that my baby was coming, that, um, my baby would not, uh, outrun me because I was going to be 40 and I really wanted to have, and I know you think 40 is young and it’s It is,
but
you know, I I
43, so 40 is, yeah,
I, I, I, I started that journey at three six, and when I met you, I was 38 and I.
Decided that I wanted to have a baby by the time I’m 40. So,
and Roseanne made you comment to it?
Yes, and I, I, I really,
yes.
Tried in, in that way. And, um, and your program with, you know, all the, you know. Bringing abundance in my life, bringing, um, spirituality back in my life. Clarity, A good calm, a good bump squad.
Um,
being able to count on your partner Also, it’s. So important.
Like everything really helped me in different aspects of my life.
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, and one of the things, ’cause I remember distinctly when the two of you walked into the Ritz-Carlton in Montreal, like I, it was very obvious to me in your energy that the two of you were united.
Yeah. ‘
cause there, there were a couple other dudes that showed up with their lady, but like there was a connectedness. That the two of you had. Okay. That I really felt,
yeah.
And I just remember, well,
that’s why I insisted on doing the show together.
Yeah.
I’m glad that, I’m glad because actually
when you suggest that Francois would.
Be here. Like it, it brought tears to my eyes because he was such an amazing partner in that journey. Was like, I was reading stuff about, you know, guys that would not want to go to, to the appointments, who wouldn’t want to pay, wouldn’t want to like do the things they had to do to get. Like all this better and you know, and sometimes I would also read like in books or like fertility specialists say like, have your husband take these vitamins, have your husband do this or not do that.
And I was like.
Have your
husband have her husband, like he’s not fine.
I’m reading the documents,
but then I’m
not a million I’m involved in this.
Yeah. And they should be as well. For me it was like, of course he will do it and then I will, I won’t have to like force that on him.
So, and, and fundamentally there, there is such an imbalance from the get go in all those treatments.
Mm-hmm. Yes. The things you can do as a partner, as an husband. You need to step up and you need to be involved as much as you can because she’s getting the injection.
Yeah.
Even though I was doing them.
Yeah.
I shouldn’t say that. Probably.
Yeah. No, no. But that’s, I mean, okay, so you guys inspired me. I’m gonna get a shirt that says Team Francois on there, because Team Francois like, but I mean, it’s this.
I honestly believe that the more in her feminine a woman can be, especially with her man
mm-hmm.
That there’s, it opens something up in your ability to receive. Conceiving is all about receiving and I think you consistently being supported by Francois and his masculine. Mm-hmm. Being the protector, being there to support you and not make you wrong for being scared, but being there to.
To help you through it. It, I think, I honestly believe that that was part of facilitating a miracle.
Yeah, totally.
Thank you.
Because I was, you know, I was definitely in a big resolution mode and like activated mode, but you know, we really. He calmed me down and like we were together and, and you know, even though about the money, I mean, when I wanted to do your program or anything else, it would always be supportive and, you know, I,
yeah, no question that ask.
I mean, that’s our dream.
Yeah.
There’s no cost to that dream. That’s it. I, I know. And, uh, we, we have the circumstances in life. To be vol, uh, enough to be able to afford what’s necessary, but it’s, it’s still a lot of money. And she, she even went on the local newspaper in Montreal, uh, basically stating, oh, this is so expensive.
And it was like 50. US thousand in overall, what it cost us. But, and I know many of people that will listening to your program here, that, uh, cost way more and that took many more years. But it’s really a matter of hope and just showing up and balance and believing in it. And at one point I think it just materializes.
Yeah. And yeah, so that’s. Yeah, it was always supportive
and problem solving. It’s not enough. And a, as you rightly mentioned, uh, problem solving as you know, physi, uh, physiologically, just being problem solving. You’re always in stress. You’re always in your, uh, frontal lobe, uh, brain and just tick, tick, tick, tick.
You tick boxes, but. You need to be ready to, to welcome your baby and to, to delve into your famine. Yes.
So, well, and you helped me with, with all of that.
Well, and I think that’s such an important thing, is that shift from lack and scarcity into abundance. It’s the thing that changes everything because the, it’s time, money, and opportunity that are representing abundance, but people get so crazy over, you know, who would invest at that level to have a baby?
And it’s like. Somebody that wants to, you know, like we spend and money on things that don’t matter all day yet, why would we ever criticize somebody for directing resources to things that they really care about?
Yes.
And, and who cares? You know, you’ll, you’ll make that money 10,000 times over because you’re so happy with your life.
Like, it, it’s, you know, so I, I think it’s, you guys are highlighting something that’s very important is, you know, and a lot of people on this journey, they, they, they play not to lose. They don’t play to win. Mm-hmm. And that’s a very different thing. They just, they just don’t wanna lose. And it’s like. Why are you here?
Mm-hmm.
You’re here to live a big life, whatever that means for you. Right. And to live your life, not to continue to be small and make excuses. I mean, and the two of you are a shining example of what happens when you don’t make excuses. Yes.
And
I think one of the. I mean, the greatest example of that in our life is that, um, after, after I did your program last summer, um, I had kind of a hard, uh, fall, um, with like another uh, IVF cycle that didn’t work.
And, you know, all kinds of stuff coming up
in my, in my life and with work I needed to, uh, go for a month. Uh,
yeah, it was a very crazy. Um, uh, fall of, uh, 2024. Um, and, uh, at the end of the fall we decided that we needed a break. We needed to have fun and we wanted to enjoy Christmas time, um, in New York City.
And so we looked at. The prices and the hotels and everything. It, it was like
super pricey.
Super pricey because it was like at the big time of the year. So I said to, to fois, well maybe we, we should go after New Year and like the trees and everything will still be there. And it was like, what’s the point of going to see Christmas trees at like on.
Like January five.
Yeah. That’s sad.
So, so we,
it’s totally sad friends, Paul. Like, it’s not even the same, it’s like the fake Christmas, right?
Christmas. So we said, okay, like we’ll go when it’s time to go and yo, and we’ll, we’ll pay like. Double of what it’s supposed to cost to, to cost.
Uh, double New York is a
lot, is is a lot.
So we decided to go and to enjoy a beautiful vacation in New York City and see all the decorations and you know,
Catherine is our. Big
Christmas. I’m a big Christmas fan.
Yeah.
So,
yeah.
So, um, and we like did like Christmas tours and we ate cookies and we, you know, did all the fun stuff and
all kinds of fancy restaurants, not really caring about what we were eating.
Yeah. And eating like, uh, New York City bagels. Yeah. With like gluten and I, uh, and cream cheese and everything. So, and we, um, we had a. Beautiful vacation. Very fun, very relaxing, very, um, you know, just beautiful. And we conceived our baby there.
Yeah. Yes.
So if it’s not, you know, if it’s not a proof of that abundance and, you know, just like fun re a relaxed mind.
A fun time. I know. And I know it’s not just that, you know, but it’s, it’s,
it’s all of it, Kat, it’s all of it. It’s, you know, it’s, it’s, so, I, I have to stop you because it’s like you are painting this beautiful picture
Yeah.
Of who you allowed yourselves to become. Mm-hmm.
Yes.
And I don’t want that point to be missed because.
It is not just you going to New York. No. What did you two do?
Yes.
What you two did was start to believe bigger. Yes. Your relationship got stronger.
It
did. When? When you felt the desire to go on a trip, you have amazing team Francois jump in and say, we’re not going on January 5th. What’s the point? We’re gonna go.
To New York and enjoy ourselves. It’s taking a stand for what you really want, not what you could settle for. It’s not the same.
Yeah. And uh, but still, we were still doing the things and, uh, all the problem solving we knew in New York when to try and speak. Yeah, of course.
Well, it’s, yeah. It’s not stupidity, it’s faith.
Exactly. It’s balance.
Yeah.
Yeah. It’s, and it’s being. Faithful to the dream.
Yes.
You know, of course there’s certain things you gotta do, Francois, like, you know, but like, I’m sure it, yeah, yeah. Gladly. Especially in New York, you know, but, but you two open something up in yourselves that you, because most people power under their fear.
You two pushed into the vision and that’s so special. It is so special. It is so rare. And I love you guys so much because it reminds me so much of my husband and I because we did something similar. Like we just started saying yes to everything that felt right to us. ’cause we had lived for so long in, you know.
Constriction. So, okay, so going back. So you guys conceived your baby naturally in New York around Christmas time on your trip.
And
Friday night
on. Yeah, on actually. Um, and as I said earlier, I wanted to have a baby by the time I’m 40. And it was, you know, um, uh, November and December we’re coming and I was like, okay, I’m nine, nine months away from, from being 40.
So. Maybe my dream will not happen, but I’m still working on it. It’s, it’s okay. It’s okay. Um, so we went to New York on, um, uh, December 13th.
Friday the 13th.
Friday the 13th. Uh, yeah. And I was born Friday the 13th. So it was kind of always like, uh,
actually for Captain it’s a lucky
number. Yeah. It’s a kind of lucky number.
So, and we conceived on Friday, the 13th of December, exactly nine months away from my 40th birthday. So, uh, uh, and we, it
doesn’t, uh, it doesn’t stop there.
And the most beautiful, beautiful part is that two weeks. After Friday,
about two weeks later,
uh, after December 13th was December 25, which is Christmas morning.
And we, I decided to do a test just in case. And
it’s
Christmas morning,
right? Christmas morning. You never know. You never know. And it was positive and my, it was my first ever.
Positive test.
Positive test. And I was going like into the shower and I just like, I saw with my eyes that the, the two lines are the plus, or, and, and like I put my pajama back and I started to run because we were at my, she
shouted so hard that she woke up my in-laws we were at, at my parents.
No. Um, my in-law. Like your, your parents. Yeah. Yeah. And like they, they thought I had just had a bad news or something and I was like, oh my God. Oh my God. And yeah, it was, it was, and
everything was closed. But, so, but we found one pharmacy that was still selling until noon tests, and we did like four of them.
And because
I, I, I, I wanted to You
believe it,
I wanted to have more proof.
Proof.
So I bought a lot of tests and they were all, all positive. All positive and yeah, it’s just, just like a Christmas miracle.
Yes.
I, I mean, you
and we, we just told you on the same day.
Yeah. I,
I remember all of this, but it’s like, but I remember thinking to my, I mean, Kat, you gotta take us back to that moment.
Yeah. You’re in the shower.
Yeah.
You glance over, you see the two lines, and you’re putting your pajamas back on. I mean, what was going through your head? I know you were screaming, Francois said you were screaming very loud, but like, what were you thinking?
I was,
I would pay so much to know what exactly, exactly.
Went through our head. It’s that exact moment.
It’s like at this, it’s at the same time it was like disbelief, but also like. Okay, this is a miracle. This, this is happening. Like, and from the start of the pregnancy, I, I realized that, you know, all the things that I’ve done and the fact that I’ve, like, we conceived the baby like in a Christmas trip two weeks before Christmas, exactly nine, nine months away from my birthday.
And I was like, this is like too big. To not work. Like it’s just,
yeah. It’s too much of a coincidence,
right?
Yeah.
So, so at, at the same time I was like super, like, this is incredible. I cannot believe this. But at the same time I was like, yeah, okay, I can believe this. So, so yeah, it was, yeah, it kind of like mixed feeling.
And we took a picture of us with the test and Francois is like crying and I’m like,
and to, she’s in total disbelief. I’m shocked and shy and I’m just like. And
so you did it, Francois, you did it. It was so special to, because we got to announce it. Like we decided to announce it right away to his family.
And two days after that. Well,
yeah, by shouting you announced it to the family.
So what did the grandparents say? Did they
freak out
when you told them? Right away.
We’re like, okay, it’s Christmas morning, but we already just have like the best gift ever and, and yeah, it was just like. They were so happy and said, oh, we went to the cemetery and pray like to our parents that are Yes, departed and like they, they hurt us.
And yeah, so it was just like beautiful.
Wow. Wow. And what was going through your mind, Francoise? Because at that point you heard you’re going to be a dad, like I think you are in your heart, you knew, but what was it like for you? To have this kind of confirmation that yes, you are stepping into fatherhood.
Well, you, you just said it, it’s, it’s stepping up, but it in a different way. Uh, it, it, it, we’ve been working on, on the kid, like basically for three years before we got the. So it wasn’t that much of a surprise. They thought I was gonna be a father one day. But
yeah,
this is all really concrete and, uh, we, we started planning, uh, soon enough after the vacation, of course, we waited for the Christmas period to, to settle down a bit.
And of course. We were really like super happy and, but also in a little bit of disbelief. So we were prudent in our hope at that stage because many people also lose their kid at that stage. So we, and we waited for so long that we wanted to take baby steps into like expectation and joy, but quickly enough after a few weeks.
So I
just, yeah, and, and I think he was, you know. In that mode pretty quickly.
Mm-hmm.
Like since it was like winter here with like a lot of snow and a lot of ice in Canada, you know, it was like shoveling like times a day so I don’t fall. And
yeah, there was not any doubt you were going to
Yeah, like, like he was carrying everything.
He was, you know, he was.
I went to the gym. I subscribed to the gym because you need, you need the muscles
and you know, all of this. And, but I have to say that it, maybe it was a, another coincidence, but he had like nose bleeding for, for a few days and I was like, oh, maybe he’s, he’s kind of a bit of a, in a stress.
Yeah, Katherine was afraid I was going to be a stress and, and probably I got, uh, maybe, uh, maybe a week or two of being a bit stressed out, but, uh, that I was not letting myself be stressed out.
Yeah, let’s say that. But, uh, what I describe also about the baby steps. Was mostly for Catherine because being an awful person
mm-hmm.
I mean, I was telling her all of that, but in my hearts of hearts I knew it was happening.
Yeah,
yeah.
Doubt. This was happening also.
And uh, at that point, I, I read your, um, fearlessly, uh, uh,
pre
pregnancy was the
Yes.
The fearless pregnancy. Yeah.
And that really helped me a lot. Yes. As well. Yeah,
yeah.
Yeah. Wow. I mean, yeah, I mean, you guys are just, it’s, it’s such a delight to share in this with you because, you know, sometimes people think, oh, they think, oh, you know, when I, when I get pregnant, all my problems go away. But they don’t understand that like, your mindset has to be strong for the entire pregnancy.
Like
it’s a lot of work.
Well, aunt, but you did something really smart and you said to yourself, there’s too many coincidences here. There. This is meant to be. And you know, this baby is here for a reason. We, we did all of these, these medical things, which great. You know, but you had to trust yourselves to, to believe for this baby that was conceived naturally.
And you’re having a girl.
Yes, yes. She, uh, Catherine is on the week, uh, 29 now. 29. So we’re we’re expecting on the beginning of September.
Yes, yes.
Oh my gosh. I mean, can you guys even like that? Just must. Oh my goodness. It like, just to, you have the date, you have, you know, this massive bump that’s, that’s just so fantastic.
Like, so what are some of the things, I mean, you’ve been dropping bombs this whole time, but are there any things that. You would want the men and women listening to this to really take from your unique story.
Mm-hmm.
Well, there, there’s one thing that I, I, uh, was meaning to mention, uh, because I, I listened to your, uh, recent series with.
Uh, miracle Papas. And, uh, one question, and
now you’re one of them, Francois,
and one of the question you were asking people is that, uh, how do you find, uh, uh, what, what was your reaction when, uh, your spouse came and talked to you about Roseanne and the whole program and that? Uh, uh, and the, the intention or the assumption between, uh, beyond your question was that, oh, maybe it’s a bit, uh, cray cray and a bit Lulu and, uh, uh, but me, my, I have a bachelor in psychology, so rest assured I understand the, the power of mindset and my, my answer to her willingness to entertain that is that you lady, you need to do it.
I pushed her hard
Yeah.
To do it. I was. More than 100% in, I mean, I wanted Heather to do that. Yeah. And we had some help also with the funding. And it was the, I really feel like you are part of the story and you, you really made a difference. You really, really made a difference. And I wanted to thank you for that.
Oh,
and, and maybe you want to like people that are listening to like. Subscribe and
well, you can go the length that you guys want to go, but for sure, uh, understand that you guys need to have balance in your life and that doesn’t mean. Letting go of the whole checklist and all the to-do lists. Yes. You, you need to go through the, oops.
You need to do what’s necessarily medically and you, you need to, to be careful about that whole angle. But you need to rest sometime. You need to eat ice cream sometime you need to go out with your friends on trips. Sometimes, like we will in a few hours, we’re going on vacation as well. Oh,
because is it your baby moon?
Gosh. I mean, you’re making such an incredible point, Francois, because it’s a yes and it’s not, or
mm-hmm.
It’s not an either or proposition. It’s, yes, and it’s like cover your bases mind and body. What? What goes on here plays out in your body. This is not hocus pocus. We know this.
Yeah.
Yeah. And I love that you.
Really supported Kat in that process and encouraged her because I think so many men and women feel discouraged or they’re afraid to do things for themselves, and you guys are living proof that miracles happen when you do.
And I think what I, i, I want to say is that whatever this your, your, your level of what you’re willing to do is you have to.
Believe and know that you did everything that you could have done. And for me it was like body, mind, everything and, uh, spirituality. And, you know, because, and, uh, last summer I was like, okay, if it doesn’t work, I’ll go for embryo donation or anything. But because I will know that I, I’ve done everything in my power.
Um, to make it work and I didn’t need embryo donation, but no, I, I know deep in my heart that I did everything and for me, I think it’s like the, it, it is the biggest thing.
And even Emily and friends, uh, towards the end were think, starting to think we were getting a bit too much involved into this and going a bit cray cra, but no.
Yeah, it was the pursuit in the same manner that some people have a hundred hour weeks when they start a business. Yeah. In the same manner we were create CRA for this and this is all working out.
Yeah. So we did everything we wanted to, to achieve it and we, we did.
That’s the dream. And uh, I’m sure the second one will be easier now.
Yeah. And the third and the fourth. Yeah. No, I mean, I think it’s, so that’s such an important thing. It, it goes back to the idea that nobody’s ever gonna believe in you more than you. So it’s, it’s, you have to do the work and, and I think that’s great. Well, and since you guys are French speakers, what would you want to say to the French speaking world?
Because this is global. Would you say anything?
Um, whoa.
Awesome. Yeah, no, I think it’s so important because there’s, I mean, literally women all over the world and men all over the world who listen to this, and I think that it’s. It’s so important. We all come together from many different experiences, but we’re united in this quest for our children, and so it’s such a special thing to be able to share in this with both of you.
Well, I love you both and I am so yeah, and I’m so grateful that you took the time and you’ve been so generous to both be here and share this story, and so I can’t wait for the world to hear this. And I look forward to seeing you in Montreal.
We here wait. With great pleasure.
Yeah, with great pleasure.
Thank you guys.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Loves wasn’t my conversation with Super Cat and Francois. Amazing. Don’t you just wanna like shrink them down and hug them, carry them around in your pocket. They are gonna be such amazing parents and their daughter is so blessed to have them. I just, you know, I just think about all of these couples that have appeared on this podcast, and I am so grateful for every single one of them.
Their generosity and being able to watch their transformation is such an incredible delight because when your mind and your body are united and they are calibrated for success, you can make this seemingly impossible. Possible, and that’s exactly what SuperCAT and Francoise did. So if you want me to teach you what I taught SuperCAT, go to my website www.frommaybetobaby.com and apply for an interview there.
My methodology, as you can see. C has helped women around the world make their mom dreams come true, and their results speak for themselves. You cannot out treat out, supplement out yoga pose or out diet, a shitty mindset. Get that mind and body working together so you can have a miracle of your own. Till next time, change your mindset.
Change your results.
