Is it possible to succeed after recurrent miscarriage and multiple failed IVF cycles?
What is a pregnancy of unknown location and how does it affect fertility treatment?
How does fertility mindset work support women through recurrent pregnancy loss?
[00:00:00] Hey, gorgeous. If you want success on your fertility journey, you’ve gotta have the mindset for it. It’s time to kick fear, negativity, doubt, shame, jealousy, and the whole clown car of low vibe, fertility, journey BS to the curb. I’m your host, Roseanne Austin, fertility Mindset Master, former prosecutor and recovering type a, control freak, perfectionist.
[00:00:20] I use the power of mindset to get pregnant naturally and have my baby boy at 43. Despite years of fertility treatment failure, I help women across the globe beat. The odds on their fertility journey, just like I did, get ready for a quick hit of confidence, joy, feminine badassery, and loads of hell Yes.
[00:00:37] For your fertility journey. It’s time to get
[00:00:39] fearless, baby fearlessly fertile. Let’s do this.
[00:00:46] Welcome to the Fearlessly Fertile Podcast, episode 3 31. Recurrent miscarriage and failed IVF. Didn’t stop her. From finally being the woman who has it all. Jennifer’s [00:01:00] story loves. I am absolutely delighted to be here again with you.
[00:01:04] This. Weak as we share another testimony of triumph from one of my miracle mamas. I mean, are you kind of getting it? Are you sort of putting it together that these ladies create the most insane results on their journey when they have their mind and body? Calibrated working together. So often people have the wrong idea about what mindset is, and they think that the, oh, this is just another MINDBODY program.
[00:01:33] No, no, no, no. The women that come through the Fearlessly Fertile programs are getting a strategic advantage over everybody else on this journey because what they are doing is learning to think, believe, and take action in a completely different way. We aren’t just meditating under some tree, just hoping to change results.
[00:01:56] These women are learning the logical, linear, [00:02:00] practical, and applicable moves that it takes to win on this journey. You wanna hold a baby? Well, you can’t stay in that sad sack world of statistics, naysaying. Unmoderated message boards and and FB groups out there that it, you’re just circling the drain of despair.
[00:02:22] If you’re smart, you are going to feed your brain these real stories from real women who are achieving the impossible or at least a seemingly impossible when you’re on this journey. So I hope that everyone who is listening to this is gonna pay very close attention because Jennifer is like all of the women I serve.
[00:02:43] Lovably type a control, freaky driven, professional at the cutting edge of her profession, at the apex of her profession, and she found herself. In a place where she struggled with the idea of having it all, being like an [00:03:00] incredible person in finance, and the idea that, okay, I can be a mom and have this too.
[00:03:06] Like so many of the women that I serve find themselves in a situation where they want both, but they feel like they have to choose. The truth is you don’t. I take a stand for women having it absolutely all on their terms, and you’re gonna hear from Jennifer. Exactly what her journey to all of that goodness was.
[00:03:25] And I’m so just even more delighted because I actually got to meet Jennifer and her husband in Geneva during my tour, uh, last year. And it was great ’cause she was pregnant then, but now she’s holding her precious baby boy. So if you’re in a place where you think you have to choose or you think that just because you have spent most of your career.
[00:03:48] Working, working, working, and not thinking about a family that it’s somehow too late. It’s never too late, mama. It’s never too late for fearlessly, fertile Miracle Mamas, we take a stand for having it [00:04:00] all. So here is my conversation with the glorious, amazing, just beautiful. Jennifer, can you believe we’re having this conversation and you are on maternity leave?
[00:04:15] For a long time I couldn’t, but now I can. So yeah. And when I, when I could and then, you know, everything started to change.
[00:04:25] Why don’t you start off by sharing with the women, listening a little bit about how you found yourself on this journey, and then how we met.
[00:04:37] It started, our journey started quite casual.
[00:04:41] You know, it didn’t really cross my mind that we could have some fertility issues, although I know it’s, it’s common, but in my family it’s normally not an issue. So, yeah, and we started, um, and looking back, probably it wasn’t a great timing because we both had a lot to do at work, even [00:05:00] more than we normally have.
[00:05:01] So we were both stressed out. And that probably wasn’t a great place to start. But anyway, you know, the 12 months they say they, they passed by and we were both not, you know, um, so old we were, um, 33. So we thought we’re still young, um, fertility wise, maybe not. You know, they say these about. 35 and so on.
[00:05:28] But, uh, the 12 months passed and, um, then we started to work with my gynecologist, like with the checkups. And, um, they said everything is all right. But anyway, we, we checked the fallopian tubes, we tried letrozole, although ovulation was never a problem. And then another 12 months went by and, you know, left and right.
[00:05:52] Everyone felt pregnant, like with, uh, the blink of an eye and you are there and you slowly [00:06:00] realizing, oh, uh, there’s something, maybe something wrong. Maybe we have, uh, an issue. And then we, after two years, we started, um, assisted, uh, reproductive medicine and um, we kind of made a little assessment to find our clinic and went to different clinics.
[00:06:21] Found our clinic and we, um, we stayed with them, uh, for the whole time because we really appreciated the people there. And we started with I UIs and, um, the second IUI ended in, uh, an ectopic pregnancy. And it wasn’t, you know, because they thought when they got my test, they thought it’s, um, it’s still the, the medicine they gave you.
[00:06:49] But, um, I, I didn’t get my period. And so, um. Slowly, you know, I, I, I, I realized, oh, maybe I’m pregnant anyway, [00:07:00] and I felt like something is off. And then I had that ectopic pregnancy. And I have to say this was really mentally and physically a very painful. Experience. It was my first pregnancy or the first I knew and I couldn’t meet that baby because it was growing in the wrong place.
[00:07:19] Like, you know, there’s no chance. And, um, it was. It was, it was horrible, I have to say because, um, first I started bleeding and they hoped I will lose the pregnancy in a natural way. But, um, the beta HCG levels went back up and so they had to give me, um, a very strong medicine. They also using cancer treatment because it kills fast growing cells like hair cells.
[00:07:51] Embryonic cells and um, yeah, to, to really end the pregnancy because they said surgery was not an [00:08:00] option because they couldn’t really locate it. They knew which tube it was, but they couldn’t locate, locate it. And they said We might go and do more harm than we do. Good when we are gonna cut you open. So.
[00:08:11] We are, we’re trying to stop the pregnancy fully with that medication. And in the end, it took, it took eight weeks to not be pregnant anymore officially. It was such a long time, and, you know, on, on one point, because first I tried to work, I tried to work through all of that because I, I just wanted to have some normality in my life, just.
[00:08:38] Do my job. Just, yeah, because I, I felt if, if I’m gonna have to stop, you know, everything is, is gonna wash over me, all the emotions and then everything was inflammated and they told me, you’re, you’re not healing properly. We have to ask you to be on sick leave now for at least a week so that you can [00:09:00] lay down and, and have some rest.
[00:09:03] And, you know, I had, uh, it was great. I could do home office somehow. I don’t know why. Um, I had a week full of home office and it was good because I couldn’t walk properly and in between the meetings I had to lay down for five to 10 minutes to get back on my chair and do the next. It was, I don’t know what I have.
[00:09:22] Thought, you know, it was, it wasn’t very smart. But somehow I tried to push through and they said, now, after, I don’t know, two weeks, they said, you have to to rest now. And so I, I was in the end, uh, on sick leave for, I don’t know, a week or 10 days. And that’s, I think the first three days I just stared at the ceiling.
[00:09:45] I, I didn’t even wanna watch TV or, and I can’t tell, you know, the days apart in through all that because nights and days they were all the same. I couldn’t sleep because I was in pain. I couldn’t be, it was, I was [00:10:00] a mess. And I was just, the first three days I was staring at the ceiling and just are feeling nothing.
[00:10:06] Like you kind of, and then, you know. At one point I just started to scroll, I dunno, on my phone or going through Amazon and, and some, I, I can’t even remember exactly where, but some somewhere popped your, your book up and I love reading and I thought, okay, I think this is for me, you know, because I felt inside of me that yeah, somehow there is something with me because.
[00:10:37] On a physical level, and, and we ne we do not have a diagnosis until this day, why this all happened. So I felt on a, on a deep down that maybe there’s something with me. And so I, I read your book and then for a few, I don’t know, maybe three months or so while recovering, I, um. [00:11:00] I listen to your podcast and after that medication, because it’s so strong, you have to be off TTC at least for three months, some say six.
[00:11:08] And then when you’re, um, officially no longer pregnant, they give you an antidote to, to clean your cells and get everything, uh, in shape again. And so, um, during that time, I listened to your podcast and then I applied for your program. So that’s how I came into your world.
[00:11:30] Jennifer, think about this. Here you are, this Lovably, clearly type a control, freaky professional woman who’s in the middle of losing a pregnancy, an ectopic pregnancy.
[00:11:45] That’s like an emergency.
[00:11:48] Yeah. I had to go to the hospital every 48 hours so they could check me. It was,
[00:11:54] and you’re still trying to work through that.
[00:11:59] Yeah. I, [00:12:00] it was, it wasn’t very smart. I just tried to, to keep my life up, you know? I didn’t want to,
[00:12:06] well, no, but it, it’s, it’s what we do, Jennifer. It’s what we do.
[00:12:10] It’s what women like us do. I mean, I remember I made a court appearance within da, uh, while I was still having a miscarriage.
[00:12:18] Oh,
[00:12:19] it was crazy. I mean, but, but that’s, that’s part of the, the reason we find ourselves struggling on this journey. I mean,
[00:12:27] yeah.
[00:12:28] I, I love whatever came up in you to say it must be something in me was, it was miraculous because sometimes we need things like this to come into our lives to show us like how off track we have gotten.
[00:12:49] That’s insane. So, so what happened? Okay, so we started working together. And tell [00:13:00] us a little bit about some of the things you saw changing, because obviously you had great medical team, right? They really cared about you. It’s the clinic that you stayed with. You. They, they love you, you love them.
[00:13:14] Everything was wonderful. But there was something still in you. That knew that you had to change. So what were some of the changes that you decided to start making?
[00:13:28] To be honest, it took a while because I think first when I came to you, I was so raw. I was devastated after that ectopic pregnancy, I have to say, and it took me a while to get back up.
[00:13:42] And I, in the end, I did three of your programs because I, I, I realized it’s helping me. So I, I stick with it, you know, I’m kind of a stubborn person. If I know it’s so, then I stay with it. So, and you know, first I thought you, you. You always told us, you [00:14:00] know, the journey is a gift. First I thought, what are you telling Anne?
[00:14:05] This is I, and also the concept that you’re, um, uh, teaching off like you can make a decision. And to be honest, Anne, I tried to be a good student, but it took me a long time to really get it. But when I finally got it, I got it. So, but I think the first, the first change, and that was a big benefit I had from your program for the first time.
[00:14:32] I didn’t feel so lonely on that journey because we had the group calls and I met a lot of incredible women in the same situation. And. I asked my questions in the group call and they ask their questions and I learned from how you coach them. So for the first time, I didn’t feel so lonely because I, before I felt really lonely.
[00:14:59] You know, [00:15:00] you hear from people struggling, but you are not. Maybe not having them in your life, or it’s one or two person, but you, you don’t see the full picture. And so that was a great thing to have that community. And I’m still in touch with some of the women and they are inspiring and yeah. So there was also friendship, um, coming along.
[00:15:23] So that was the first change, not feeling so, so lonely and, you know, through all the programs. I think what you also, um, helped me to gain is in other areas of life. I’m, I’m, I think I’m quite a resilient person. You know, that journey. I thought it’s kind of, you know, destiny or maybe I wanted too much from life.
[00:15:49] That’s why like all these crazy thoughts we have, right? And you helped me to have that resilience to keep. To keep going, [00:16:00] you know, till, till the end. And what also was, you know, I, I, the person I am, you know, I made some notes for the podcast so I know which, which things were, um, you know, pivot points for me.
[00:16:15] And first, I, I always thought I might not be a good mother because I’m, I’m a driven person. I’m ambitious. Um. I’m also kind, but you know, I, I, if I want something and, and I’m also very interested in, in many things in life. I love yoga. I love, uh, um, the, the stock market. I love my job. I, you know, like I’m interested in many things and I thought my, maybe I’m.
[00:16:47] I’m not gonna be a good mother because I’m not only focused on on family. Oh. Although family is very important for me. I’m a very family oriented person, but I have other interests. [00:17:00] But in the end, you know what was interesting? It was my, what also brought me to our son, or helped us conceive was my, my ability to get back up again.
[00:17:14] Get back up again, like. The, that, that may be a bit stubborn part of me, like going back and do it again and be willing to do it over and over again until it works. And you helped me to, to find that part of me, which already exists, but to find it for the, for the fertility journey.
[00:17:36] Well ’cause it, it’s so different.
[00:17:37] Jennifer, I think you’re making an excellent point here. What we do professionally, like isn’t necessarily how we can approach this journey. Yes, you, we knew at some level you have resilience, but this journey is completely different. This is about your heart. It’s about very often our sense [00:18:00] of self. So well, so let’s backtrack just a little bit because knowing you’re so accomplished and you know you’re stubborn, and when you set your mind to something, what was it that made you.
[00:18:15] Or, or at least gave you the courage to reach out for help. Because a lot of women will tell themselves, oh, you know, if I ask for help, I’m weak, or I don’t need that. Or, you know, this is silly. Like you are a logical, intelligent woman. What made you want to reach out to this wild American that was talking crazy and saying that this journey is a gift?
[00:18:39] Like what made you wanna do that?
[00:18:42] I just, it, it inspired me. The podcast inspired me. So this is also why I’m doing it because I, I hope it’s gonna help someone and yeah, so I thought, I, I felt I, I need help. And I have to say, I always. Know also in other areas of life [00:19:00] where I’m a pro and where I’m not and where I’m not, I’m trying to get help.
[00:19:04] And that’s also for, for other things. You know, there are people, they can other things and they are better at that. So I felt that, and you know, I had the call with you. And, um, joined the program. And then I, I told him, my husband, um, during supper and I said, you know, I think she’s real. I, I had a Zoom call with her.
[00:19:27] I think she’s not the kind of AI thing. So, and he said, Hey, I don’t know her because, you know, we had our jobs. And, and he said, when you think it’s a good idea. So then I. Trust you, so this is going to be good. And then we, we, we often, you know, listen to the content together while driving or in the kitchen or something like that.
[00:19:52] So he’s a huge fan of your content too.
[00:19:56] Oh my gosh. Did, did Michael ever question your sanity? Like [00:20:00] he’s like, this lady is crazy.
[00:20:03] No, no, no. Not at all. Because he was very sweet. He said, I trust you. So you make a good decision, so this is gonna be fine. And it was just that Oh, oh, I love that. And he loved, he loved the content and he, he, I think what he also felt like that I now have something that supports me.
[00:20:25] Mm-hmm. And a structure, a community. Uh, and I love that I could do homework, you know, that’s how. That’s how I do things, you know? So that, that was good for me to have that structure, do the homework. Um, yeah. Yeah. And, and really it was, yeah, like after the ectopic it was, I was at the low point, it was my rock bottom and I.
[00:20:51] From their own. It could have go different ways, but through the program, I got the resilience to, to keep going. We [00:21:00] had, um, two more pregnancies of unknown location. I didn’t even know that this exists and my tubes were checked three times. They are open, they were checked with a camera. So nobody knows why all this happened.
[00:21:16] And one pregnancy of unknown location was even. During, uh, a stem cycle, it was, they called me, uh, in the morning. I was in the office in, in the, uh, with the dog. And he said every, or she said, everything looks fine. And in the afternoon they called me and said, you have, um, to stop all the injections because you’re pregnant.
[00:21:38] But it was again, um, they did not know where. So, and you know, I could have. Given up. Of course I was devastated, but the program sparked something in me to say, no, I am. I keep going. I. Yeah, we, we did, [00:22:00] we did many things until, you know, finally everything aligned and came together. And I have to say, I also have to credit, we, we, um, uh, did IVF and this worked for us in the end.
[00:22:14] But we also did, I did your program, I. Fertility yoga with Jennifer Edmonds. I worked with the crew, uh, a medium and your program opened me up to that. That’s what you call the bump squad, right? Yeah. It opened me up because before I would have never worked with a medium, like not in a million times, but somehow it opened me up to, to see more solutions, to see more ways and.
[00:22:43] I knew some somehow not my, my body and Mike’s body doesn’t seem to be the only problem. Mm. ’cause at one point they even told us we’re super fertile, and I said, yeah. At least on paper. Right? Because in the real world it’s somehow [00:23:00] not working.
[00:23:01] Yeah. Well, but that’s what a smart woman does. Jennifer is, she’s not just relying on medicine.
[00:23:11] No,
[00:23:11] she’s, she’s looking at this from a strategic standpoint. Who are the experts I can bring into my life? Everybody is helping with the peace of this, but this is also why mindset is the foundation, because if you don’t open this up here, you wouldn’t be able to see these other things. Yeah, and you wouldn’t have the resilience that it takes to open yourself up because a lot of people get stuck and they’re like, oh, that didn’t work for me.
[00:23:41] I’m not gonna try anything else. And it’s like. How bad do you want this baby?
[00:23:47] Yes. It’s really that, I have to say the program opened me up to different options to, to see the solution. We want even talk to an embryologist in Australia or [00:24:00] New Zealand, I’m not sure, just to understand how that works in the lab, because you know, in our clinic they didn’t have the time to take us behind the scenes and they explained a lot, but of course it’s, it’s.
[00:24:13] They do not have an hour or two just for that. So we, we connected with that embryologist on the other side of the world. And I think without the program, I, I wouldn’t have been so open to do that.
[00:24:28] And I think that that was one of the biggest changes. I started seeing in you, because ultimately in order to get from trying to conceive into becoming a mother, there is an identity shift.
[00:24:44] You have to be open to that shift in identity because just as you were saying before, we took that little detour. You were talking about like, look, I’m a family oriented person, but I didn’t know if I would be a good mother because I’m so [00:25:00] focused. I have so many interests. But what you are showing us here, and I think that’s true for so many women, ’cause obviously you, you’ve been in the program, so you know, like the women that I work with are, you know, achievers, they’re out there, they’re like making a difference.
[00:25:18] These are women in high power positions, but. Sometimes we need to get the education and coaching to bring us to a place. We’re like, no, I, I can have it all. I, I I can have a career and I can be a wonderful mother and a wonderful wife or partner. You know, like, what do you think about that?
[00:25:41] Yes, I, I noted that.
[00:25:45] You told me that we can have it all, and it’s also kind of a right to, to be a mother and that, like you always say, when it’s in your heart, it’s, it’s meant for you. So I think this is totally [00:26:00] true because I thought. Like, maybe I want too much or something like that. But that’s not true. And in the end, that part of me that I thought might not be the good part for being a mother, um, made sure that we met our boy because.
[00:26:17] Yeah, I, I just got back up again after every, um, pregnancy of unknown location, ectopic, um, losing embryos. Like did we, yeah, we always got back on track and, um, that’s. That was my will. And I thought maybe that the ambitious part of me is, is, is not, you know, helpful, but I, I totally agree, Anne. Really
[00:26:45] well.
[00:26:45] It’s, you know, I just have to say like pregnancy of unknown location, that’s almost like a unidentified flying object. Like Yeah. I mean it sounds
[00:26:53] so,
[00:26:54] yeah,
[00:26:54] it’s somewhere maybe in your belly or in attached to your organs, and they [00:27:00] told me they do not have. Uh, really a name for it in German. So they told me in English, it’s, they said we, that the diagno, the diagnosis is, we only have the English word for it.
[00:27:14] Yeah. So it was very strange. It was, yeah, we don’t know. We don’t know why all this. Happened, but, and I have to say, really, I, I got so much from your program. For example, you know, we, we did, um, we had two transfers. They failed and my dog asked me to do a test and I did that test 12 months before. I thought it’s not gonna bring any other result, probably.
[00:27:42] But I remembered, you know, kind of that team thing. You, you are always teaching, right? And I said, uh, said to me, Hey, she wants the same as we want and I trust her, so I’m not very keen on that test. But let’s do it. It’s not a [00:28:00] big thing. Go for it. And they did, um, biopsy and they found that I have, I have, um, endometritis, it’s not the same as endometriosis.
[00:28:12] Mm-hmm.
[00:28:12] It’s just an inflammation of uterine lining. And I probably got it from one of the miscarriages I had before. So this was it. Why? Um, it changed and after that, um, our embryo. Is our beautiful baby boy. So, but otherwise I would have maybe, you know, argued, Hey, we did that and, but I thought, hey, we are a team.
[00:28:37] She wants. The same. And she was really, um, yeah, she was really helpful and they said a good thing to us at the clinic that also reminded me of what you were, um, teaching us. They said, we see a lot of people, they still have options and they have, um, also medical options, um, [00:29:00] and financial options to go for more treatment, but they can’t bear the journey.
[00:29:05] Emotionally, and we, we do not want that for our patients. So that’s why we try to get speed into it because we know you have just so much energy you can use. So they see a lot of people that give up, but they still have options. They give up too early.
[00:29:25] Mm.
[00:29:26] And so I think it’s very important to find somehow, um.
[00:29:32] The work that helps you to, yeah, to keep the mindset up, to have the resilience. And for me, it, it was, um, totally your program.
[00:29:40] It’s, it’s interesting, Jennifer, because I, I think that’s one of the most heartbreaking things. And I remember a long time ago, very long time ago, before I even had Asher, I remember a teacher coming into my life.
[00:29:55] Telling me your mind will give up way [00:30:00] before your body ever will. And, and I just thought about that and I was like, that’s so right. And this is, this is why mindset is the foundation. ’cause if you’re not strong here, you’ll just give up. Think about what exactly the example that you gave your doctor wanted to do another test.
[00:30:20] You could have easily said, ah, ah. I’ve done that before. Why am I doing this again? And it’s like, no, you, every piece of information that you gain, it brings you one step. You could have kept trying not knowing you had endometritis and not treating that condition. One of the biggest changes that I saw in you as an observer, ’cause I got to see you and I got to watch you grow.
[00:30:49] Is going from this place of like this, you know, I’ve been doing this or I don’t know how this is gonna happen for me. You turned into the woman [00:31:00] that made the decision it would happen for you. Do you think that’s true?
[00:31:04] That’s true because like I said at the beginning, I didn’t get that concept. I thought I had made the decision, Rosa.
[00:31:12] I dunno. But, you know, during the program, I, I, I then really decided, I decided that I’m not going to rest until my baby’s here and I will put. Everything into it. And we were, you know, alongside IVF, we were building a house and it was a struggle and it was so, you know, we had days where we were just exhausted on the weekends.
[00:31:40] We were working on the building side during work days in the evening. We answered a lot of emails. We had our jobs, we went to the clinic. But somehow, you know, through your program. I had the strength and I told myself, we got, we are not gonna stop on any dream, so we’re gonna have it all. [00:32:00] And we decided to keep going.
[00:32:01] It was sometimes it was tough, but we made it and we also had a lot of fun during that. And it’s totally true. Like you said, I made the decision. And I knew I wouldn’t stop and maybe I had to have a little break during the final phase of the build, but I knew I would go back until it was possible. But then finally, right before that, then I was, um, we conceived our son.
[00:32:30] So it was right before I knew I would have to have a little break because it was. Technically not possible to put anymore into our calendar. So, but it, it was just right, right on time. And we moved in and three months later he arrived. Yes.
[00:32:48] Okay. Okay. Okay. So you went from ectopic pregnancies, pregnancies of unknown location to dream home, [00:33:00] dream baby, like incredible lifestyle.
[00:33:03] I mean. This doesn’t surprise me. You became that woman. You literally became the woman. That had it all. So tell
[00:33:16] us. Yeah, because I had the mindset. I had the mindset, and you once told me, you know, once you get used to have no breaks, it’s okay. Yeah. And it’s true. And it’s true. It works. It works for a while.
[00:33:32] And I have to say like also that thing you told us, like. The journey as a gift. I, I thought, rose, you know, but before, before we conceived our baby boy, I really saw the journey as a gift because it had made me who I am and that I liked that person a little bit more than the person I was before. I was a nice person before, but even.
[00:33:59] You [00:34:00] know, I knew I would make it happen, but I also knew that even if it might not work out, it was for the better. Mm. I know I wouldn’t stop, but I was, I was, um, able to be grateful for the journey before it ended.
[00:34:19] Wow.
[00:34:20] So that was, that was a big, a big thing for me. I have to say.
[00:34:25] That’s a massive transformation, Jennifer, like, because think about what a day on this journey is, seeing it as a gift versus seeing it as a curse.
[00:34:36] Yep. I saw it as a curse, as a real curse, but
[00:34:41] what’s the word, German for curse.
[00:34:44] Um, for curse. Yeah. It’s like, uh, flu. Yeah. But, um, yeah, I, I, I saw it as a curse and it felt like a curse, but I had worked so much on myself, [00:35:00] you know, for a long time. You work, you work, you work, and you don’t see really a change.
[00:35:04] But then, you know, you work and at one, maybe not one day, but sometime you find peace. Peace with, with yourself, with the situation. And then it was really a gift because I knew the person I had become. Yeah. Like I said, I liked that person a little bit more than the person I was before and, and was what also was a big thing for me was I was able to accept that I was on that journey.
[00:35:34] It didn’t, it didn’t meant that it would. You know, go on forever. But I was, I was also willing to go for two more years, three more years, four more years, whatever it took. I accepted that I am on this journey. I didn’t no longer fight the fact, although we didn’t know why, but I didn’t. I didn’t fight the fact that we were on this journey.
[00:35:58] It was just like [00:36:00] it was, but I knew, like you always say how it’s gonna end.
[00:36:05] This makes me very proud. Jennifer, because this is so critical. There is. You’re exactly right, and I think for every woman it shows up differently. There is a point, a turning point where you say, I’m in this. I’m in it to win it.
[00:36:26] And, and I’m gonna do whatever it takes. If it’s two years, five years, and I, and that is, and if you look, ’cause because you were a podcast listener and now you’re a guest. But if you look at every single one of the women that has appeared on this podcast, they all say that same. That at some point, whether they say it in different ways and it shows up in, in different ways on their journey, but there is a mental resilience that [00:37:00] switches them into that place where they can finally receive.
[00:37:05] That blessing that they want. You stop making yourself wrong. You start stop beating yourself up. You stop doubting your body. You build that sense of faith and you begin to see yourself in a different way. That’s the identity shift. What we were talking about earlier is it is a shift in identity, but if you don’t make that shift.
[00:37:30] Yeah, that’s true because I also stopped about obsessing, you know, over things like the basal temperature and, you know, I try to have a good and healthy lifestyle and I normally live quite healthy, but yes, I have that gloss of wine. Maybe not during, you know, the most intense phase, like, but. It was okay again to have a glass of wine and, and I stopped obsessing because [00:38:00] I knew I did my best and I didn’t have to be perfect.
[00:38:04] It was enough to do my best. And I did a lot. And like you said, you, you, you, you are okay. And you, you are okay with yourself and you’re at peace. And that’s a lot to have peace on the journey and to also enjoy the process.
[00:38:23] And it’s acceptance. When you can accept that you’re on this journey and you stop making it wrong, you’re exactly right.
[00:38:29] You can enjoy the process and think about all of the wonderful things that have come into your life as a result of it. So,
[00:38:37] and I was able in the end to, you know, to also through your program, like to picture myself with my family for a long time. You know, I kind of. Had forbidden that for me because it felt like it’s not reachable.
[00:38:55] I could then picture myself, of course, not every day, [00:39:00] you know, but I, I could see the things and I made the plan to you, you always get a, uh, a picture from your embryo. Um. That is transfers in our clinic. I do not know about other clinics, but we always got a picture and I made the plan to, um, to make a little piece of art from that picture of our successful embryo.
[00:39:24] And I saw that little piece of art in our house, and today it’s exactly like this. In our, um, uh, bedroom, there is a little piece of art from our son’s embryo picture. And like, I pictured that before and now it’s, it’s reality. So that’s that. Yeah, that’s really cool. And, you know, through along the journey and through the program, I also opened up to things that I would have, you know, completely discharged before, like [00:40:00] things that.
[00:40:01] That there’s more than the eye needs, right? Yes. And because I, I, I knew, you know, our bodies are probably not the only problem because we didn’t have a diagnosis. So I started to, to try to connect to the soul of our child and to make a soul connection. And for a little while it was okay to be, I knew. We were, we had a bond.
[00:40:30] Even it might not be in the physical. Wow. And I was okay with how it was like, like I said before, that piece that I would still keep going until we had our baby. But for now it was okay. Everything like it was.
[00:40:48] Wow.
[00:40:48] And I also focused on different things in life, not only on the baby, like the house and other big plans.
[00:40:57] Yeah,
[00:40:58] this is huge, Jennifer, [00:41:00] and you know, and I really appreciate you being so kind and so generous with not only your story, but the wisdom that comes from that. Because I think women need to hear this, that you’re not gonna worry your way to pregnancy. You’re gonna grow, you’re gonna learn, you’re gonna expand, and you’re going to become.
[00:41:21] Yeah, that, that woman that you see, because look, I mean, everybody thinks manifestation is this woo woo thing. It’s not. It’s quite logical and quite linear. You made a decision, you had a vision for what you wanted. You held that vision, and you kept doing the action to get there, and you kept your vibration high.
[00:41:44] I mean. That’s basically what it takes, but yeah,
[00:41:48] but you know, it, it took me a long time to get everything together. I have to say. It was not like, but I, I would, I, I stuck with your programs and it helped me, and I [00:42:00] felt like it’s. I’m making progress. Of course I’m not, you know, I wasn’t at the end goal, but I thought, Hey, it’s, it’s good for me.
[00:42:08] I keep going. And it’s like you said, you, you have to put everything together and you have to grow. And that was also something I noted down before the podcast, that your program helped me to become bigger than my c circumstances to be. To grow, grow bigger than them and to be more, and to see how it’s gonna be and to be okay anyway with how it is right now.
[00:42:38] And that, for me, that was a challenge to be okay, but to also see where I was heading.
[00:42:43] Yeah.
[00:42:44] And to be bigger than what I was maybe experiencing on a daily. Daily basis. So that’s why I saw that little piece of art from our, uh, succeeding embryo and now it’s, it’s reality.
[00:42:58] Yeah, yeah. [00:43:00] Well, and I really appreciate the, how you have shared this, because I think anyone listening, you know, anyone who has been through an ectopic pregnancy or anyone who has been on this journey for any length of time is going to understand, like, look.
[00:43:15] Everybody wants this immediate solution that’s not always available, but that doesn’t mean the solution isn’t coming. Look at you now when, when we’re done here in just a few moments, you’re gonna get off of this recording. You’re gonna go hang out with Michael and Joshua.
[00:43:33] Yep. Yeah, with my two men. Yes,
[00:43:36] yes, yes, we’re, and I can tell you, it’s amazing.
[00:43:40] I am similarly situated. I’m outnumbered in my house by, by men. So yeah, it’s pretty awesome. But
[00:43:46] you know, kind of, he’s the sweetest baby, you can imagine. Of course every parent is telling that, but. He just laugh a lot. He plays for himself. He, he is just like, he’s, [00:44:00] he’s that soul I had a connection with.
[00:44:02] Yes. So,
[00:44:03] yes.
[00:44:04] It, yeah. It’s, it’s like, it’s really the magic unfolded. Yeah. And through your program. Um, yeah. I had the chance to, to grow and to keep going until. Happy, happy end is here, and like you said, I stopped to look for the quick fix. In the beginning, you know, there’s nothing against acupuncture, but I did acupuncture just because I went in and I thought, give me the needles.
[00:44:35] And I went out and I thought, you know, now I’m gonna be pregnant. But that’s not how it works. And also it’s not how it works with your program. It’s not how it works with fertility, yoga, and all the other stuff. You have to stop to look out for. Quick fix. Quick fix. It’s hard. I get that because I love the quick fix.
[00:44:54] Well, but you, you want consistency that’s gonna take you to conception, right? Yeah. [00:45:00] That’s what you, you need that consistency. Yeah. Um, you know, it, it’s the same thing as like, you don’t expect to get a summer body and like with, you know, doing a few exercises three weeks before your trip. It’s not gonna happen.
[00:45:14] It has, it takes, it takes time. And
[00:45:16] yeah. And for us, it’s like that fertility journey, like you always said. For other people it’s a different thing. They’re struggling in life and they’re asked to grow and for us, it, it’s this. And that’s, that’s also, that was very, you know, cool with about the community.
[00:45:35] All the women are a bit like yourselves, like, and it’s also in your book. When I started reading, I thought she knows how I, who I am, you know, like she’s the same and, and all the other women, it’s like a big community of these achievers. That all are kind of the same way and have difficulties with receiving and Yeah.
[00:45:58] Yeah. Even we even [00:46:00] learn to receive, I’m better at receiving now. I’m not a pro, but I’m better.
[00:46:04] You’re working on it, but conceiving is all about receiving as we you well know because
[00:46:09] I know. Yeah, I heard it a few times,
[00:46:12] like a thousand times, but yeah, I mean, so that’s beautiful. What’s the thing you would want women to know?
[00:46:19] Yeah. Like I said, it’s not, it’s not a curse, even if it feels like that. It’s a gift. You will come out on the other end and you will hold your baby and the journey is a gift and you can grow. I think that program is a, a real chance to do that. So, and there is more than just the physical baby. Maybe you are able to have a connection to that baby before, and maybe that connection is, is as, as worthy and as the physical form.
[00:46:56] Yes. Well, thank you so much, [00:47:00] Jennifer. We appreciate you so much and it was so good. It’s so good to see you again. And almost exactly a year ago we saw each other in Switzerland, which is like, ah, that makes me so happy.
[00:47:11] Yeah, that was great. I was already pregnant.
[00:47:14] Yeah, that’s right. That’s right. Who knew that?
[00:47:17] A year, just about a year later, we, Joshua. That’s exactly right. Well, thank you so much lady. Thank
[00:47:25] you. Roseanne,
[00:47:26] please go hug Michael for me Hug Joshua for me. And I look forward to seeing you soon.
[00:47:32] And thank you for all your support. Um, you were al you were always great. You were, you know, you gave us the kick in the ass, but you also had so much.
[00:47:42] Compassion and love. So thank you so much.
[00:47:45] Oh, it’s my pleasure, baby. It’s my honor to walk alongside women like you who don’t quit for shit OMG loves. Didn’t you just love my conversation with Jennifer and can you say. See why I [00:48:00] work with the women that I work with. I mean, seriously, this is the kind of thing that happens for women who make the decision that their heart is open, that they realize, okay, I can’t do this without my mind and body working together.
[00:48:15] They understand that the mind body connection is logical and linear. None of this is freaking woowoo. If you’re trying every treatment, diet, lotion, potion, and yoga pose, and nothing is working, you simply cannot ignore what is going on in your head. Well, at least if you’re committed to success, right?
[00:48:32] Because if you aren’t really committed to success, continue to ignore it. Continue to treat it as if it doesn’t fucking matter. But we know the data shows both anecdotal and scientific peer reviewed. Published studies are consistently demonstrating that the mind and the body work together and the way that you think, and therefore the way that you approach your journey.
[00:48:54] The yeses you say, the nos you say all play into this. So your [00:49:00] body. Can only go so far without your mind. Your mind is what’s going to take you beyond the limits of fertility medicine, because more times than not, fertility medicine alone ain’t gonna do it. And I know there are gonna be some people out there that say, well, I don’t need to do that.
[00:49:16] And I’m sure that people get lucky. Uhuh. Nope, nope. Smart women on this journey make their own look and if you want to learn what I taught Jennifer, go to www.frommaybetobaby.com and apply for an interview there. My methodology is, you can see, has helped women around the world make their mom dreams come true, and their results speak for themselves and love.
[00:49:37] I don’t care how successful you have been in your career, you know by now that the fertility journey is a completely different animal. It’s not about working harder. It’s not about doing everything. It’s about being strategic. Women who are serious about fertility success have the courage to raise their hand and ask for help.
[00:49:55] It’ll be the smartest fucking thing that you do on this journey. Go to [00:50:00] www.frommaybetobaby.com. Till next time, change your mindset. Change your results.
