Laurie Somma is a mom of two and warrior of sexual abuse, addiction, eating disorders, and mental health struggles. After years of self-hatred, Laurie found a way to completely rewrite her inner narrative and learned how to love herself. Along the road, she has also become the mom to her kids she is desperately needed as a child. She is a Transformation and Affirmation Coach and has two amazing books releasing soon.
In this episode we go with Laurie on her journey from a child, learning about self-hate very young and how that hatred showed up in her life through harmful actions. She shares with us the moment that everything changed and how she was able to stop this way of thinking and fully love and accept herself. As she is. She had to release the words that had been ingrained in her from herself and others and now she is able to help others stuffing with moving past trauma be a success and free from the self-hate. She is out spreading the love with the world.
One of my favorite parts of this interview is the way she describes other people's negative words towards us. She uses an amazing analogy about their clothing, how we need to take it off, and step into our own clothes. I want to know what resonated with you!
“I think I really, honestly, I just, I just want to reiterate that everything that you need is already inside of you. You just have to find it. You just have to love yourself and learn to love yourself again.” Laurie Somma
