Jo Lamble is a clinical psychologist who has been in private practice for nearly 30 years, specialising in relationship and parenting issues.
Author and co-author of seven previous books, she writes a weekly advice column of body+soul magazine and appears regularly on television and radio. She and her partner have two adult children.
In this podcast episode 131 Jo Lamble shares what inspired her to co-author The New Teen Age: How to support today's tweens and teens to become healthy, happy adults book with Dr Ginni Mansberg a Family GP of 30 years
The New Teen Age is published by Murdoch Books and it provides parenting advice that talks both to the physical and the psychological issues at play in the teenage years, specifically designed for parents, step-parents and carers who are confused and bemused by the conflicting advice on the best way to raise a happy, healthy teenager.
Between them, Dr Ginnin Mansberg and Jo Lamble have many years experience, both as clinicians and as parents, so they know first-hand what concerns parents today and they get how challenging it can be to raise adolescents.
They empathise with parents, understand their struggles and want to equip them with solid information and sound strategies.

Kate O'Donnell is the author of three Ayurvedic Cookbooks, including The Everyday Ayurveda Guide to Self-Care, The Everyday Ayurveda Cookbook: A Seasonal Guide to Eating and Living Well and Everyday Ayurvedic Cooking for a Calm, Clear Mind: 100 Sattvic Recipes.
She is a nationally certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and the founder of the Ayurvedic Living Institute.
An authorised Ashtanga Yoga Instructor, she teaches yoga in Boston and Portland, Maine and has travelled to India numerous times for study.
Kate began yoga by Accident in South India at age 20. More than a dozen extended trips to India and twenty years studying the wisdom traditions of the sub-continent support Kate's understanding Ayurveda and Yoga.
After years of dedication to the Ashtanga system, Kate has experienced great benefit from this practice and was authorized by her teacher Sarah Jois to teach the Primary and Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Yoga.

EP.127 - How to Bring Happiness & Positivity Into Your Day with Dr Elena Welsh, PhD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Author
Dr. Elena Welsh, PhD received her doctorate degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (a program accredited by the American Psychological Association) and completed advanced clinical training through a postdoctoral fellowship at Gateways Psychiatric Hospital in Los Angeles.
Dr. Welsh has published articles in various medical and research journals and has served as a consultant for state-wide initiatives aimed at increasing access to mental health care.
In therapy, Dr. Welsh utilises scientifically based therapeutic techniques in a compassionate and flexible way that is individualized for her clients needs and goals.
The primary therapeuctic modalities Dr. Welsh uses are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills.
In addition to simply helping people live authentic, rich lives, Dr. Welsh works with a wide range of anxiety, mood and depressive disorders, including bipolar disorder, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma-related mental health issues.
Dr. Welsh also specializes in many issues specific to women, including fertility struggles and postpartum adjustment and depression.
Additionally, Dr. Welsh also has specialised training in conducting psychological assessments for a range of referral questions, including diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendation, pre-adoption screening, independent educational evaluations, or fitness-for-duty.
Many people also seek therapy with Dr. Welsh for specific life and transition issues such as fertility issues, divorce, grief, caretaker stress, substance use issues.
Dr. Welsh collaborates with brands and media outlets that have a mental health focus, to help de-stigmatise mental health issues and making mental wellness accessible.
Dr. Welsh also helps to implement wellness programs for organisations along with integrating mental health into education services.
