This week: the U.S. Supreme Court is facing a crisis after a draft opinion was leaked to the press revealing majority support from the court to overturn Roe v. Wade, which was monumental to legalizing abortion across the nation (decided on in 1973). The leak sparked protests from both pro-abortion and anti-abortion groups on the court steps and across American cities. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has ordered an investigation into the leak of the authenticated document and U.S. President Joe Biden said he would fight back should a law actually be officiated that would overturn Roe v. Wade. Libby and guests discuss the history of Abortion law and women's reproductive rights in the U.S., the implications of the Supreme Court draft leak and whether this could influence abortion laws in Canada.
