Fight Disciples Podcast

With Coronavirus shutting down the world we resort to bringing you our weekly boxing show from two separate locations because we are taking very seriously the advice given to us from the government.

Theres not much boxing chat to get stuck into but a fantasy conversation courtesy of the world boxing super series will get you thinking, and Billy Joe Saunders latest moment of stupidity on social media.

To celebrate St Patrick's day we are revisiting a conversation from earlier in the year with Ireland's most successful mixed martial artist, The Nortorious Conor McGregor.

The original interview went out on BT Sport in January but we thought whilst you're looking for things to keep you occupied during self isolation we would bring you a podcast version.

Slainte.

Football, basketball and baseball have all fallen to the Coronavirus but not the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The show must go on, even if fans can not attend.  UFC Brasilia suffered from lack of crowd energy with the first 9 fights on the card all going to the judges score cards.

We also discuss the news that UFC London goes ahead, BUT NOT IN LONDON!

The lads continue their countdown towards UFC London on March 21st with an in depth chat with the first lady of UK MMA. After going 3-0 in 2019, 'Meatball' Molly McCann aims to climb into the flyweight top 10 with another big performance in London. But first she shares some of her closest stories, like teaching kids to play football in Namibia, getting electrocuted - not once but twice, her desire to one day have children, and the real fear of Liverpool winning the Premier League title at Goodison Park!

What a way to celebrate female fighters buy putting on the best fight of all time!

The best the flyweight division has to offer, leathered seven bells out of each other over 25 minutes for our entertainment.  Joanna and WeiLi were truly magnificent and stole the show in Las Vegas.

The male middleweights however, is a totally different story!

Time waits for no man.

Congratulations Jono Carroll on a truly magnificent performance in Manchester on Saturday night but Scott Quigg was well passed his best.

The man who epitomises hard work and dedication is surely about to officially cal time on his magnificent career and we pay homage to the boy from Bury.

As well as that we round up all the latest news and look forward to this weeks fights involving Shakur Stevenson.

Surely that's it!

With the Flyweight title remaining vacant due to a fighter missing weight surely that is it for the division?  Joey Benevidez couldn't provide the Hollywood finish to a stellar career as he was topped by Deiveson Figueiredo inside 2 rounds.

Playing 'possum' is also on the agenda as well as looking ahead to UFC 248.
