Fight Disciples Podcast

To say it has been a rollercoaster is an understatement but sometimes you really do get what you deserve in this life.  Hardwork pays off for Brendan Loughnane as he stops Bubba Jenkins in the forth round of the PFL Featherweight final and bags himself that life changing cheque.

We discuss an incredible night of action and look ahead to a big UFC night in Florida.

Dillian Whyte vs Jermain Franklin ends in a majority decision for the home fighter and social media explodes with the term 'robbery' plastered everywhere.  We pick the bones out of the scoring as well as reviewing the fight and the night as a whole.

Regis Prograis and Adam Azim gave us moments to celebrate whilst Zach Parker and Nathan Gorman made us despair.

This week there's an epic trilogy to get excited about.  Theres also another that nobody is really too interested in.  We discuss both as well as a super welterweight British title fight that is a real diamond in though rough.

The idea of Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia has every boxing fan chomping at the bit but in reality the 'announcement' last week is a bit of a farce and only cements where boxing is currently at.  We pick through the bones of that as well as looking back at the weekends action.

This Week we have a world title fight between Regis Prograis and Jose Zepeda, Dillian Whyte returns and Zach Parker entertains John Ryder at the o2.

It was another phenomenal night for the UFC at the iconic MSG.

14 fights, 11 finishes, 7 in the first round and they crowned 2 new world champions.  Alex Periera stole the show as he became the first man to stop Israel Adesanya in MMA with a 5th round TKO victory and become the new middleweight world champion.

Zhang Weili is back on top and Dustin Poirier proves theres plenty of life left in him at 155.

We review the whole card as well as the rest of the major MMA talking points from around the world.

Is there anything more we can say about how good Sunny Edwards is at boxing?

From start to finish AGAIN on Friday night he puts on a masterclass, standing another world champion on his head, bamboozling him with footwork and hand speed.

Natasha Jonas became a unified world champion at super welterweight whilst Nick Ball kept up his streak of havoc.  We also have to talk about the exhibitions.

We review the good the bad and the bloody ugly from this weekends world of boxing.

Israel Adesanya aims to equal Anderson Silva's middleweight record of 13 straight wins this weekend at ufc281.  The man charged with stopping the dominance is relative UFC newcomer Alex Pereira.

These men have fought twice before in a previous kickboxing life where Pereira won both times, knocking Izzy out in their second bout, but can he do it in MMA?  The champion has been criticised for lacklustre performances so will this old rival bring out the best of the last stylebender?

Theres plenty to preview heading into a week at MSG

We also take a look back at the weekends action where Amanda Lemos emerges as the next contender at Straw weight.

If you're a purist who loves to watch  a display of the sweetest science then Dimitry Bivol is your go to guy.  After schooling the biggest star in the sport earlier this year, the Russian dishes out the lessons to a 44-0 fighter who looked absolutely baffled with what he had infront of him.

We review the whole card from Abu Dhabi as Chantelle Cameron becomes undisputed at super lightweight.

This week theres plenty of world title action involving British fighters to look forward to and we preview the lot.

Arnold Allen is a tremendous mixed martial artist but his body of work might not be enough to get him to the UFC promise land.  In this game you have to tell the world exactly what you want and be aggressive in doing so.  We discuss his work not he mic post Kattar victory on Saturday as well as reviewing the rest of the action.

This week we're back at the APEX for a belter of a main event between Rodriguez and Lemos.
