Fight Disciples Podcast

Joe Joyce is no average man.

His granite chin, relentless pressure and punch output are a problem for any of the worlds leading heavyweights.  We discuss how many of those top boys we think Joyce would beat given his style and dismantling of Joseph Parker at the weekend.

We review the action from Nottingham as well as looking into all the major talking points from a mad week in Boxing.

We take a look back at the weekends action from the APEX in Las Vegas and conclude that there's a different feel and standard to a regular UFC fight night show.

We review the fabulous career of all time great, Jose Aldo, for all those that only refer to THAT 13 seconds with Conor McGregor.

Elias Theadorou sadly passed away this week at the age of 34.  We pay our respects tot he former TUF winner.

Sadly Canelo vs GGG won't go down amongst the greatest trilogies of all time, as the third encounter between the two was more Leonard Duran than it was Ali Frazier.  A disappointing end to what was a captivating rivalry.  We review the fight and what might be next for both men.

This week Joe Joyce and Joe Parker tangle in Manchester in the heavyweight division so we get stuck into a preview.

All the other latest boxing news is discussed too.

Nate Diaz walked away from the UFC in poetic fashion at UFC279 but the man we are all talking about is Khamzat Chimaev.

The UFC has a new super villain and he loves it.

The first ever UFC event on French soil is one to remember as Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivassa gave the fans a fight of the year contender.

Robert Whittaker and Nathaniel Wood showed their class as we review the whole show from Paris.

We also look ahead to UFC 279 and a serious gangster party as Khamzat Chimaev takes on Nate Diaz in what could be the later's last ever appearance inside the octagon.

Embarrassing is the only word to describe the action from Liverpool on Saturday night.  The matchmaking on the whole was atrocious and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of the fans who shelled out their hard earned cash to go to the show.

We tell a few home truths about the current state of boxing as well as looking ahead to a super fight this week between Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall.

After a lifetime of hardship it all became clear is Salt Lake City.  The road that Leon Edwards has travelled could not have been managed by any average man.  The tale of his world title shot was typically him, ending in a moment that made everything else make sense.

We review the world championship performance against Kamaru Usman.

We also look ahead to a ground breaking night in Europe with Ufc France taking place this weekend in Paris.

After a four week break through the month of August the boys are back together to talk all things boxing.

At the weekend a Youtuber boxing event took place at the O2 arena with KSI being the star of the show.  Adam attended to give you an honest review of this emerging scene but the main topic of conversation is still the heavyweight championship fight that took place in Jeddah?

How does AJ come back from here?
We discuss...
