Are you hungry? Hungry for an American Idol film? Hungry for questionable food that may or may not be edible? Hungry for a tangent that completely overshadows the movie we're supposed to be talking about? Resident Film Fighters, Jono and Konrad, had a battle prepared but got lost on their way to Spring Break or some other explanation that justifies this mini.
Konrad's 'Chili's Too Guy' (official name) makes a reprise in this week's episode with some food(?) specials to pair perfectly with the film discussed. If you remember, he first appeared in Episode 22: Teen Witch vs Teen Wolf.
Theme by Math the Band. (I Want My Baby Back) Ribs (Back) by Guy Bommarito, Tom Faulkner, Willie McCoy, GSD&M Advertising, Take 6, Larry Lavine, and Chili's.
It's time to go back, Marty. Back to the Fraser! It's fish-out-of-water (not really but sorta time travel, too? Time capsule? One of those.) Fraser movies this week pitting together the classic(?) Encino Man and forgettable(?) Blast From the Past. Definitely some pros and Kons. Konrad will be there. He always is. And Jono too.
Tangents include Divorced With Children, Stair Bed, Hot Dr. Pepper with Dick Clark, Alicia Silverstone's jabroni agent, Seinfeld Casting, and Pizza Steak.
Theme by Math the Band. Long Liquid Lunch by Konrad Hartman.
Our Top Spectator chose the battle this week! It's a Cusack/Holland joint about wild adventures, crazy "teens", and Sir Eel situations! Which of these absurd comedy classics will come out on top? You decide! Or actually, we'll decide, and you listen.
Tangents include cerealism, Doc Brown auditions, and bad French accents!
Intro/Outro by Math the Band.
Hey everyone! Hope you're all safe during this recent freeze/blackout roll. Your resident Film Fighters, Konrad and Jono were not able to get together this week. OR LAST WEEK! So we threw together our first true Outtakes mini full of funny make 'em ups and break 'em ups. It's PANCAKES! Enjoy.
Also, our good friend Tabitha Parker shows up at some point. It's canon, now.
Intro Theme by Math the Band. Soundbed by Quantic. Pinhead Outro by Thee Headcoatees.
It's our Valentine's Day episode (coming in late due to power outages from Winter Storm Uri) that pits two classic rom-com horror flicks in this week's brutal grudge match. Who will take away the non-existent championship this week? Zombie? Or Vampire? Either way, you're sure to be spooked by this special episode. By all the "great" acting!
Tangents include Lon Lon Milk Ad, Tommy Wiseau's Lion King, Screensaver Fights, and Buddy Bart!
Intro/Outro by Math the Band. Additional music by Monster Rally, The Angels, Herb Alpert, Flight of the Conchords, Right Said Fred, John Farnham, and George Michael.
Jono: Konrad?
Konrad: I'm here, Jono.
Jono: I don't feel good, Konrad. There's a sour taste in my mouth.
Konrad: You want me to show you the way to the next Whiskey Bar?
Jono: Yes. Yes, Konrad. Verily!
Lots of drinking. Lots of singing. Lots of sinking! Plus a surprise visit from an old acquaintance!
Intro/Outro by Math the Band. Band From Can song by CTRL X CTRL V.
Hormones are running high in this week's episode involving teens and the supernatural. How come these two never found each other? One was cursed, and the other was spellbound. Well, not really? It all turned out fine. Just fine. More or less.
Tangents include Chilis 2 Wolf, Wolf-Love, Coach's Advice, Lawyer Jono Rerun, Teen Witch BotB Issues, and Top That Guy.
Intro/Outro by Math the Band.
Serving as a companion piece to Tarantino's Pizza, these are a few outtakes as well as a side discussion of the film, True Romance. Plus! Jamie reveals why he walks with such a hunch sometimes all the time not really.
Tarantino's Pizza, hot and fresh, just like you like it - with GRAVY! This week, the film fighting home team is challenged by Comedian Jamie Gravy [Gravitt] with one of his favorite directors, Quentin Tarantino. But he's going in handicapped with one arm tied behind his back, because he chose Death Proof. Will Jamie come out on top against Kon n Jon's ringer? Tune in to find out!
Tangents include Pog Talk, It's Pat, Search Engines, and Glorious Basterds.
Intro/Outro/Film Fact Fraud theme by Math the Band. Liquor by Crystal Gravy.
This week, our hometown film fighters discuss one of the greats of 90s/transportation/action/bromance/LA films: Keanu Reeves! Whether it’s surfing or bussing, Keanu sure knows how to make adrenaline ooze from the screen. If only he would divulge his Secret of the Ooze. This is the worst copy that’s ever existed.
Tangents include Johnny Utah Football School, The X-Presidents, Rick Astley’s lesser known brother Rob Astley, Soupy Scary Cereals, and FormTrancers.
Intro/Outro Theme by Math the Band. Liquor by 2 Meatball Sandwiches.
