Film Fights

Happy New Year!  Film Fights is back with our 2021 premiere episode and our first Randomizer!  When you drown to death in a dumpster fire, who will be there to pick up the pieces?  What the heck does that even mean?

Our final holiday episode of the month is finally a match that has legs.  Kevin Maculkin and Clark Cable throwdown for the King of Khristmas.  We also learn that Konrad hates Turkey, Jono is still obsessed with Tales From the Crypt, and Future Jono is none too happy about the unpaid overtime he put in this month’s haul.

Look!  I’m Just Not Into You!  New segment for our Holiday Mini where one of the Film Fighters is not so thrilled about a universally loved movie.  The battle is Jono vs Konrad to argue why Tim Burton’s Christmas classic is so amazing (or not).  Featuring the debut of Lawyer Jono!

Continuing our bloated Holiday month is our next Christmas-themed battle -  Martin vs Murray!  Death vs Death!  Humility vs Ego!  All that crap!

Tangents include Cooking by the Book, Trailers Galore, Jono to Ashes, Tab vs Diet Coke, Konrad Live at the Apollo!

Also introduced in this episode is the premiere of our movie trivia game show, Film Fact Fraud!  Plus!  We spin the Randomizer Wheel to determine our first Film Fight for 2021!

Intro & Film Fact Fraud themes by Math the Band.  Cocktails by Mountain D’Egg Nogg.

We had so much fun with our special guest, Leslie Hartman, that we had recorded for over 3 hours, and Future Jono had much difficulty editing out some gems.  Instead of leaving them on the cutting room floor, we've Frankenstein'd some of the best bits together for your listening pleasure.  Presented here is our first outtakes mini of various tangents and extended gripes on The Santa Clause.

Intro theme by Math the Band.  Background music by Quantic.  Outro “Bad Nerd” by MC Frontalot and Corn Mo.

It’s a battle of the Santa Clauses’ss as we are joined by special guest Leslie Hartman to determine who pulled off the jolly Saint Nick the best.  Is Tim Allen’s Home Improvement’s Tim “The Toolman” Taylor’s signature grunt enough to beat out Richard Attenborough’s Jurassic Park’s John Hammond’s classic disregard for his grandchildren’s safety- what was I talking about?

Intro/Outro theme by Math the Band.  “1994” by The Stereo.  Whiskey by New Southern Revival Sorghum Whiskey.

Weighing in at the last minute is one more “strongman” actor to defend his bad decisions streak with this year’s Fatman, already guaranteed to be a Christmas Classic!  The first holiday bonus kicks off our new mini episode structure - short and completely irreverent.  Irrelevant?  Yea, that too!  PLUS! A very special guest unexpectedly joins us at the last minute!

Tangents include Cat Juggling, Tinman’s Heart [feat DonElf Trump], Jono Goes to Prison, and Breakfast Cigars.

UPGRADED MICS!!  Santa came early with the gift of better sound for Future Jono while Konrad and Present(?) Jono received the gift of judging the very specific sub genre of strongman-turned-actor Christmas movies.  Will it be a TurboMan Parade that sweeps this match or shall the spoils go to whatever it was Hulk Hogan was trying to do in that movie?  What the heck even was his character?  Santa?

Tangents include Mountain D'egg Nogg, Present Jono's Fony Dislyxea, Warm Wendy's Prison, and Future Jono's Revenge.

Intro/Outro music by Math the Band.  "Everything's Cake" song includes a sample from Slim, Fatboy.  Cocktails by Nogg ‘n Dew.

After last week’s horror show, your resident Film Fighters sat down to a Palate Cleanser to lighten things up.  Roger Ebert says “Imagine a film in which Jackie Chan and Buster Keaton meet Quentin Tarantino and Bugs Bunny.”  Well put, sir.  Refreshing and satisfying.

Music by Math the Band.  “I Are Minds” interlude music by Monster Rally.  Drinks by Alcohol.
