It's Spooky Season, Ya’ll! To celebrate Halloween, Natalie gathered past guests, Elizabeth and Darcie, to talk about final girls and their favorite “good for her” moments of horror movies. A consistent theme of the episode will be that the way women are represented in horror is a gateway of understanding how women are treated by society in general. Through the strength of the Final Girl, the three women have become empowered to leave bad situations, speak up for themselves and others, and say goodbye to politeness if it means they get to stay safe. A sampling of the movies, with spoilers, that will be discussed are Men, Barbarian, Bodies Bodies Bodies, and Halloween. Trigger warnings for body horror, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
