Finding Meaning in the Messiness of Life | Interview with Martha Metzler

Listen Later

Today, Natalie has the privilege of hosting Martha Metzler.

Martha Metzler, is a licensed psychotherapist, brings over a decade of experience to her private practice in North Carolina. She is a counselor, speaker, member of the Michael Phelps Foundation Advisory Council, and a dedicated advocate for mental health in her community. She loves weaving truth and humor into her ministry of counseling and speaking engagements. Martha lives in North Carolina with her husband and three delightful (sometimes feral) boys.

Natalie and Martha chat about boundaries and how boundaries in life are meant to protect good things! How life comes with friction, its inevitable. Martha describes these moments as “sandpaper moments”. The moments that feel like sandpaper against our spirit. The heart behind this analogy, and her book, is an invitation to shift our mindset away from fear and panic and towards purpose and hope.

They chat about her book which is full of tools and both personal and professional stories. We chat about seeing these hard moments as opportunities for God to smooth our rough edges allows people to experience these gritty moments with hope.

This interview will give you hope, inspiration, great tips, and strategies to help you feel encouraged with both grit and grace through life as a wife and mama!

Natalie invites you to listen in and stay for this journey.
