Hey you lot. Ma'am is home from a 2 day canal lager-binge/barge trip in Yorkshire with my toppermost boys from Manchester. I will do an episode about it this week as it was wonderfully eventful in the smallest of ways.

Meanwhile Ep 9 is here (more or less when I said)  and it's a belter of a chat. I spoke to brilliant character comedian, and all round mega-creative human firework display Mona Yousefi earlier this week and it was FUN.

Who is Mona? Well, In words literally cut and pasted from her own dazzling website https://monayousefi.com/ her bio starts thus:

Mona Yousefi  is a British actress and writer.  She is best known for her eclectic style and her alter egos Tallah Khosravian, Wakana Fukui, and Natascha  Leboushkin.  Mona gained recognition from her first directorial  television debut Mayhem Makers.  She rose to prominence with her performance in Going Native, which was commissioned by the BBC.

I worked with her a few years back and was supremely impressed at her comedy chops, ingenuity and bravery in public. 

But THAT IS NOT ALL. Mona is also a fully rounded human lady, and though she is very funny, talented and interesting her understanding of audio technology is beautifully naive. For that reason some of the audio in this ep might present some volume challenges as she accidentally had her mic nuclear loud. It's not as bad as the start all the way through though and we have a laugh with it so I trust you will all muddle through grinning and laughing generously at Nana's foppish amateurishness.

It is difficult to overstate how glad I am that I recorded this absolute gem of a conversation with my friend, the comedy writer and soul-vacuum Alistair Griggs. It has to be heard to be believed. What is wrong with the man? Feel free to discuss below.

Over 90'odd minutes we discuss the futility of enjoying anything at all, the fleeting joy of Thursdays and Alistairs recent awful sounding trip to the Energylandia theme park in Krakow.

No guest this week as I was away and then not well, but I hope you get some enjoyment out of hearing me trying to turn my shitty mood and exhaustion around by being a silly billy all on my todd.

I mean, it's the tactic I have used every day forever so don't go feeling sorry for me or anything. Heads up, I have played fast and loose with some silly jingle stuff in this ere episode, which I must stress is not actual paid advertising, I was just dicking around as I was supping an AF beer. That said if an AF beer brand wants to pay me a shit load of money to say their name I am not even going to pretend I am too proud to do that. The only thing I won't sell my arse for is children's cigarettes and murky financial consolidation companies. So back off you lot. Or maybe I WILL BREAK YOUR FINGERS AND SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT!

I am still LOVING delivering your weekly podcast. Well, it gives the poor old sod, something to do between Spitting Image zoom calls don't it. I appreciate every single pledge more than you could ever know, especially as telly is still so unpredictable.  One thing that hath cheered me up is I have got my first sniffs of paid acoustic background music gigs in the surrounding villages near me. And actually I have decided to try some busking to earn some gigging stripes. Hey ho.

Anyway, absolutely belting chat for you all this week with fringe comedy legend Thom Tuck. The lad is truly aaf his nut and super-bright. I love talking to him and being pulled all over the philosophy map with clear and sensible thinking that always blindsides me as a result of coming from someone so dedicated to utter silliness.

In this weeks episode we talk about Thom's unconventional upbringing, his early comedy influences, his love of Leeds United Manager Mark Bielsa (apparently an actual God) and our best ever day out together watching Neil Young and Bob Dylan at Hyde Park two shitty covid-infused years ago. Are the good times coming back? I feel they might be. So you see I'm not THAT miserable.

Hello sweed'earts.

Uncle nana is feeling old this week, as I enter the 4th week moaning about my neck twinges. Still, mustn't grumble because I have for you a lovely Friday treat in the form of the podcast episode I recorded with comedy actor and writer Mark O'Sullivan off Lee and Dean the other week.

Mark is clever, naughty, rude and smells of mice. Hopefully you will appreciate him giving me shit throughout our chitty chat. It gets a bit bummish quite quickly but there's lots of fun along the way.

I choose to like Mark whether he likes it or not.

Yes it's time to cringe, wince and megalol your way through the second half of the bitchiest conversation I have ever had in my life, with our favourite Nanny-Hobbit and Muscle-Mary 'Matthew "Ping Pins" Morgan'.

He goes at me hard in this one in my opinion but I deflect the blows like an elderly, slightly confused Keanu Reeves in the Matrix with my next level defensiveness and super-bants. Does Matthew know more than me about everything?? Should I just fucking shut up? Decide for yourself!
