In this special episode, we welcome a new host onto our show! Katelin is Taralyn’s sister and Felica’s sister-in-law, and we are so excited for you all to get to know her better.
For many of us, this is a time when our current reality does not match our expectation of it. Even without a pandemic, sometimes our career, our relationships, or our health doesn’t line up with what we think it should be. In this episode, we talk about the wisdom from authors that we are personally leaning on during this time, and which books are really helping us the most.
We have found comfort in the wisdom that has transcended time from the philosophers of the past such as Socrates and Plato, and modern thought leaders such as Ryan Holiday and Eckhart Tolle. As we talk about these different philosophies, we explore the idea that when we feel like we are losing ourselves because the outer circumstances that we have learned to define ourselves with change or disappear all together, it is actually an opportunity to truly find ourselves. We are more than our circumstances; we are not our thoughts. It is a quite liberating realization!
