November 03, 2025 075 Man’s First Sin #3 — ‘No Activity Outside of Him’
In this final episode, Watchman Nee’s words ring clear: “God wants us to have no activity outside of Him.” Here the root of all defeat is exposed—self-reliance. The Father is not asking how good our work looks, but who is doing it. Sin is a living power that rules wherever self is active.
Even the best deeds, when sourced in self, are dead works before Him. The call is simple: stop living from independence and start living from the Son. Adam ate of independence and became one with sin. The invitation of the gospel is to eat of Christ and become one with Life Himself.

Alex continues through Watchman Nee’s The Messenger of the Cross, reading section two from Man's First Sin and uncovering what it means to live dependent on the Father rather than independent from Him. This episode exposes how independence became man’s first sin and why the Father calls His sons to live by His uncreated zoe life.
Drawing from scripture, Watchman Nee’s teaching, and Barna’s research on worldview, Alex contrasts the good of man with the life of God, showing that dependence is not weakness but the very way sons live—sharing in the highest form of life, zoe, the life of God Himself.

October 27, 2025 073 Man's First Sin # 1 — 'Missing the Glory, Missing Him'
Romans 3:23 says: “Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.” For years, many of us have heard this as failing to live up to God’s standard. But Paul is pointing to something far deeper. To fall short of the glory is to miss Christ Himself.
In this opening episode, Alex unfolds Watchman Nee’s chapter Man’s First Sin and shows how sin is not just behaviour but a personified power. Adam’s choice in the garden was not about fruit — it was about source. To eat is to become one with what you choose. Adam ate of independence and became one with sin. We are invited to eat of Christ and become one with Him.

Paul’s life was completely turned inside out. The same man who once thrived in the synagogue, confident in his intellect and ability to teach, was brought to nothing so that only Christ could remain. In this episode, we follow how the Father stripped away everything born of independence and self-assurance until Paul no longer lived from the tree of knowledge but from the life of the Son. What once made him proud was now counted as loss, and what once defined his worth was touched by the Father’s hand. This is where ministry ends and fatherhood begins — when a man no longer works for God, but moves from His life.
