Flix in 6

We finally made it to season 3!  This was easily our favorite season and hands down the strongest of the saga.  As per tradition in our recap videos we ranked the episodes (fave to least fave) and here's what we had to chose from: Nosedive, Playtest, Shut up and Dance, San Junipero, Men Against Fire, and Hated in the Nation.  Boy is it tough to rank these, but it was incredibly easy for us to all unanimously rank San Junipero as numero uno.  What a powerful and emotionally driving episode.  Enjoy!

What an absolute disappointment!  We didn’t stroll into this flick expecting to see an Oscar contender, but damn did we expect more than this.  “When a group of longtime girlfriends goes to Napa for the weekend to celebrate their friend's 50th birthday, tensions from the past boil over.”

Starring Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, Paula Pell, and Jason Schwartzman

Season 2 of Black Mirror takes the show to a whole new level.  Here are the episodes in question: White Christmas, Waldo Moment, White Bear, and Be Right Back.  Each episode is 100% f'd up in it's own way, and each of which leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.  We loved season 2, but season 3 is definitely where the show heats up.  Just like season 1 recap, we rank the episodes, relive our favorite moments, and ID our favorite unsung hero from the season!

Season 1 of Black Mirror was one hell of an introduction to a series.  The BBC born dystopian sci-fi opens with a bang (no pun intended) in The National Anthem.  15 Million Merits isn't any happier, and the season concludes with The Entire History of You.  Every episode is uniquely terrifying and disturbing, with no real relief until Season 3.  We dig into our faves and rank the season, talk about hottest in the season, and even our favorite unsung hero from season 1.  Enjoy!

"It's a rip off of A Quiet Place!"...."The plot doesn't even work!"...."how can the monsters take over the world when they're that easy to kill!?!" and so on and so on *facepalm*

Listen, when you sign up for a flick like The Silence, you have to suspend disbelief, loosen your seatbelt, turn off your brain and just enjoy the ride. This new sub-genre of sensory deprived thrillers is an awesome shift despite being unbelievably predictable and cheesy. Yes, we've seen this before, but that doesn't mean it can't still be fun. We all recommend this movie, mostly because of the great Stanley Tucci, but generally because it's an easy hour and a half of entertainment. If you're craving some thriller/horror action on Netflix, and you've been browsing for 20 minutes, just commit to this one. It's good enough to get your fix, we promise. We could have very easily purchased one-way tickets to hateville, but honestly we were just feelin this one.

Starring Stanley Tucci, Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, John Corbett, and Kate Trotter.

That's right folks, Cassidy, Michael, and Jeremy are diving back into the crazy madness of Black Mirror!  We'll get everyone prepped and ready for season 5 (coming June 5th) by doing season recaps of 1-4.  Then we'll be doing individual episodes on Season 5's chapters which sadly will only be three :(. Once we dry our eyes from season 5, we're going to rewind all the way back to season one episode one and give you reviews on every single black mirror episode.  WOOT WOOT!

Here's a real doozy from writer/director  Ric Roman Waugh  starring  Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Omari Hardwick, and Lake Bell. A newly released prisoner is forced by the leaders of his gang to orchestrate a major crime with a brutal rival gang on the streets of Southern California.  Nikolaj gets thrown in prison for the accidental murder of his bff in a drunk driving accident and must quickly adapt to this new world of gangs and power.  He maneuvers his way to the top and ultimately disconnects from the old version of himself and becomes what he must in order to survive.

In the spirit of Avengers: Endgame week, we decided to rank the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe from 1-21! What an incredibly difficult challenge, especially the top 5. An important note: these aren't ranked from best to worst, but our favorites to least favorites. Max sent this episode to Titan with his badass list of questions ranging from best fight scene to hottest in the franchise.  We're so pumped for the MCU and had a blast recapping the last 11 years of Iron Man, Thor, and the rest of the gang.  Enjoy!
