Sarah Levey is the Co-Founder and CEO of Y7 Studio. At 26-years-old, Sarah launched Y7 as an answer to her personal desire for something other than traditional yoga. Y7 is known for its “Sweat Drippin’, Beat Bumpin’ Candlelit Yoga” - classes combine 60-minutes of intensity with infrared heat, a dark room, and strength conditioning to a playlist of today’s greatest hits from Frank Ocean to Drake. Since launching in 2013, the Y7 brand has expanded to a bicoastal business with 15 studios across New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. In 2017, Sarah was named an All-Star Entrepreneur of 2018 by Inc. Magazine and placed on the cover of its “America’s 500 Fastest Growing Companies” issue. Sarah also gets candid about her personal life and opens up about her previous miscarriages, how she and her husband and co-founder Mason have coped with loss, their marriage and business relationship, and the exciting news that they’re expecting their first baby boy in June! In this episode, Sarah and I talk about how she’s balancing it all, the highs and lows of her pregnancy journey, and how she’s built a culture and community around Y7 that’s growing and flowing across the country.
