Sl: V Ljubljani je zima dihala skozi mestne ulice.
En: In Ljubljana, winter breathed through the city's streets.

Sl: Sneg je počival na strehah in tiha svetloba zimskega dne je prekrivala mesto.
En: Snow rested on the rooftops and the quiet light of the winter day covered the city.

Sl: Maja je stopila iz taksija in se zamaknila proti muzejskim vratom.
En: Maja stepped out of the taxi and made her way toward the museum doors.

Sl: Njeno srce je bilo težko od čustev.

Sl: Ljubljanski grad je bil prekrit s svežo snežno odejo.
En: The Ljubljanski grad was covered in a fresh blanket of snow.

Sl: Bil je zadnji dan leta, in Mateja je stala ob velikem oknu gradu, gledala dol na mesto in razmišljala o svoji družini.
En: It was the last day of the year, and Mateja stood by the large window of the castle, looking down at the city and thinking about her family.

Sl: Zunaj je vrvež ljudi hitel po snegu, vsi s ciljem praznovanja novega leta.
En: Outside, the hustle and bustle of people hurried through the snow, all with the aim of celebrating the New Year.

Sl: Topli žarki decembrskega sonca so se zrcalili na gradu, medtem ko so snežinke nežno padale na tla.

Sl: Tadej je imel en skrivni načrt – pokazati najboljši razgled na mesto s stolpa.
