We are often our harshest critic. That can be said about a lot of aspects of our lives. Whether at work, in relationships, as moms, sisters, daughters, friends—we struggle to see ourselves as being good enough. But what truly cuts to the quick is the reflection staring back at you, or the pants that don’t seem to fit right, or the tummy that isn’t slimmed and chiseled. We need to stop perceiving ourselves as less than, stop comparing ourselves to others, silence that voice of self hate in our minds that we give the power to shout louder than the rest.
Achieving self love is a battle that women fight for every day. It’s messy, challenging, even a little scary at times. What if we’re going about loving ourselves all wrong, though?
As women, we’ve recognized the need for self love and have started working towards accepting and loving our bodies for what they are rather than hating what they are not. But what we’ve failed to realize is that the practicing self love without addressing the hatred we have for ourselves is only fixing half of the problem.
Stephanie flips the idea of self love as we know it on its head in this episode of the Self Love With Stephanie Podcast. She shares her journey to the realization that in order to accept and love ourselves, we need to address the hateful self perception we have first.

As we shift our perceptions of ourselves, it is SOOOOO important to give ourselves grace and compassion so that we can find acceptance of our bodies.
