About Shannon & Sugar Rush:
Growing Up In New York, Shannon Mauro Baked Family Recipes Alongside Her Mother. Her Father Owned Various Restaurants In Long Island, NY Which Gave Her An Appreciation And Love For Being Around A Kitchen Atmosphere.
That Passion Has Stayed With Her Even After Getting Married And Caring For Three Young Children. Since Moving To North Carolina In 2007, Shannon Has Baked For Friends, Church Functions, Parties, And Holidays Sharing Her Love For Baking And Her Delicious Treats With Her Closest Friends.
In Early 2020, After Seeing Her Sister-In-Law’s Success In NY (@Thecrumbpicker) & With The Support Of Her Husband, She Was Encouraged To Try & Start A Crumb Cake Business In North Carolina. Interest Quickly Exploded And Sugar Rush Crumb Cakes’ Social Media Profile Has Grown Exponentially. Shannon’s Crumb Cakes Have Been Featured By Several Local/Charlotte Food Bloggers.
The Origin Of The Sugar Rush Name Comes From Shannon, Whose Maiden Name Was Rush. She Lost Her Father In 2015 And Made The Decision To Honor His Legacy In The ‘Sweetest’ Way Possible.
