Cockle beds 1867 Formby Was in the local paper.
Coast Guards 1856 became a coast watching service.
Formby Coast Guards were part of many sea dramas.
The Railway arrives in Formby. 1854 Freshfield Station was built.
Before the railway people would come from Manchester to Southport by boat!
Railway meant businessmen could travel. Formby started to grow.
Formby by the Sea
1875 - aim to develop Formby into a resort similar to Southport.
Flying was a very entertaining pass time in 1920.
