  • Episode 71 - Maximum Overdrive

It’s the very 71st episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!! Should we even bother apologizing for missing episodes anymore? No? You’re over it? Good. This week Chuck and Mel watched listener suggested “Maximum Overdrive” (thanks, Jay!), the first and last film ever directed by a very coked up Stephen King. And oh man, you can really tell just how MUCH coke he was on throughout this movie. From odd choices like having AC⚡️DC score the ENTIRE film, to running over kids with steamrollers - this movie is definitely an 80’s spectacle. Albeit an occasionally boring one, in our opinion. Tune in to hear our thoughts on this and a couple other movies wherever you get your podcasts!!!

  • Episode 70 - Trick ‘r Treat

It’s the very 70th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN, YA FREAKS!!! This week, your hosts get into the spooky time spirit with what Chuck has deemed, “THEE Halloween Horror Movie”. We discuss the iconic Sam, the amazing werewolf transformation scene, all the creepy hilarity involved in almost every scene, and just the pure joy this movie brings to everyone that loves the holiday. Michael Dougherty has truly crafted one of the most special horror movies of the season and we had such a fun time gushing over every aspect of this wonderful movie. Tune in to also hear Chuck confuse Keith David for Keith Richards (what), the subtle, background Furry orgy in one particular scene, Melissa’s love of puke scenes, and to hear Chuck remind us 1,000 times that he watched the commentary. Come get it!!! Available everywhere...

  • Episode 69 - Pumpkinhead, Rob Zombie‘s Halloween

It’s the very 69th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! This one’s a bit different as we’re doing 2 movies - 1988’s “Pumpkinhead” and “Rob Zombie’s Halloween”. To save on time, we kept the opening discussion to a minimum and only talk about the new “Halloween Kills” and the new “Chucky” series’ first episode. Trigger warning: There are some potentially divisive comments and opinions in this one that mostly revolve around the Halloween franchise. Please do not send Chuck death threats lol. We don’t believe in mincing words, catering to majority opinions, or hiding how we feel about anything based on how the horror community might feel about it. We will always be 100% authentic with our thoughts and feelings on this show. That being said, keep an open mind and this episode is actually a lot of fun and we hope you freaks dig it!!!

  • Episode 68: Haunt

It’s the very 68th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! And oh boy, this one’s a doozy… We’re talking about 2019’s “Haunt” and the fact that it’s probably one of the best, if not thee best haunted house movie ever made. Be warned (especially you new listeners) there are a LOT of sidetractions (remember when Melissa made up that word? Also, I feel like I’ve written that sentence before…), drunken Sideshow Mike interjections, and conversational chaos moments including sincere opinions about the restaurant Olive Garden...so prep yourself. Hope all you freaks are enjoying spooky season and we hope you dig this episode!!!

  • Episode 67 - Children of the Corn

It’s the very 67th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! This week, we take a trip to 1984 middle America in Stephen King’s “Children of the Corn”! We have some pretty great conversations about how many children Chuck thinks he can fight, what Melissa would do if any “ugly little rodent child” tried to kill her dog, and why Chuck is terrified of corn. Oh, and the word “nether” comes up several times for some reason... Anyways, this was a really fun episode and we hope you freaks dig it!!

  • Episode 66 - Paranormal Activity

It’s the very 66th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! This week, we examine the found footage possession film “Paranormal Activity”! And while Melissa was the one feeling a bit of the nostalgia this week, both of your hosts find it mostly irritating. While it was fresh when it came out, at this point in the horror game, this type of film has been completely overdone, making this revisit a bit lackluster. BUT, we have a pretty fun conversation about it anyways and we do find things to like about it, 2 of which were certainly not the main characters...yikes on bikes… Anyways, this was a super fun  episode full of conversations about grundles, proboscises, money hungry studios, and what Chuck thinks about Line 6 gear owners. We hope you freaks dig it!!!

  • Episode 65 - Leviathan

It’s the very 65th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! Take a deep dive with us this week into the monster/body horror film from 1989, “Leviathan” - the “Alien”/”The Thing” crossover we always kind of sort of dreamed of? While Chuck has fond feelings of nostalgia towards it (and an almost unreasonable affinity for underwater horror movies), both hosts will agree that this is a serviceable, just fun enough 80’s film to recommend at least a once through. We discuss all the similarities to the other 2 films it seems to be built from, the cartoonishly over the top misogyny from Daniel Stern, and just how cool we think Ernie Hudson is.

  • Episode 64 - The Cabin in the Woods

It’s the very 64th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! And it’s actually on time!! Join us this week as we discuss 2011’s meta horror comedy “The Cabin in the Woods”. Y'know, we don’t typically consider this show to be things like “smart” or “insightful” or “literate”, but I can semi-confidently say this episode isn’t stupid. We actually learned a lot about this movie and just how smart and witty it is, and well, we have a pretty intelligent conversation about it. But don’t worry, there’s still the complimentary dick jokes and the occasional sidetraction (you remember that word Melissa made up?). Anyways, we hope you freaks dig it!

  • Episode 63 - The Faculty

It’s the very 63rd episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! Sorry it’s so late!!! This week, Mel and Chuck discuss (ad nauseam at some points) the 90’s cult classic, high school, body snatcher film, “The Faculty”! One of our absolute favorites from the 90’s. Tune in to hear conversations about why Ohioans are depicted as severe psychopaths in this movie, Usher Bucks, listen to Chuck overthink and draw a billion lines that probably aren’t in this movie, and how neither of your hosts would ever put anything called “Scat” in their bodies. Come get it!!

  • Episode 62 - Brainscan

It’s the very 62nd episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! This week, Mel and Chuck are talking about the zany 90’s flick “Brainscan” starring a young Eddie Furlong and the character (that Chuck would lay down his life for, apparently) The Trickster. Dubbed “the most 90’s 90’s horror movie” by the popular podcast “Forsaken Cinema”, “Brainscan” is a fun, often nonsensical movie about the most realistic video game experience ever created, and features the most ridiculously cool 90’s teenager room we’ve ever seen. If you’ve never seen it, we highly recommend you check it out if not just for the pure spectacle that is The Trickster.

This was definitely a fun one and dare I say, possibly one of my favorite episodes so far. We hope it’s yours to, ya freaks!!! Come get it!!
