All of us right now are seeking something first, whether it's careers, success or relationships. To obey God's commandments is to change what we seek first in our life because loving God changes us. It changes how we think and how we spend our time. God sees you, He knows you and He loves you. Jesus came so that we may have a relationship with the Father, one of intimacy, trust and affection. At Calvary, our inner drive was reset, our old views died and our account was settled. Through Jesus we were given a new motivation, perspective and mission. We are a new creation in Christ Jesus and we have these six things: a new director, new determination, new demeanor, new delights, new desires and new destiny.

Jesus is our curse breaker and He has called and anointed us all to be curse breakers too. This Sunday, guest Pastor Mike Maiden preached an impactful message on the power of the cross. The cross is the place where our lost purpose and destiny is restored, where curses stop and blessings begin.

Is it the quality of our character or the value of our goal that determines whether we reach our desired vision in life? Pastor Josh Kelsey kicks off our CALVARY series with the first Sunday of 2020 setting our vision and eyes on Jesus and what He has done for us. Jesus saw us as worthy of enduring the cross. If Jesus is our reality, if He is our true goal, we will push through anything we are facing right now.

Jesus is with us, He is for us and He will never leave us. This is the Good News that came into the world through a humble baby bringing the light of the world to all of our lives.
