The risen Christ that the disciples encounter is simultaneously dead and alive. The risen Lord is thus always the crucified-and-risen Lord.

After the Last Supper, the disciples go with Jesus to the mount of Olives. In Luke’s Passion, we are back to the garden where humanity lost its way.
