Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by offering his opinion on the updates out of the Speaker of the House vote, explaining why it’s incredibly important for Republicans to come together and get on the same page, running through a couple issues that drastically need addressing. Dom Giordano points out the embarrassing nature of the Freedom Caucus on Capitol Hill, but tells that some things they’re pushing do have just cause, including an investigation into the FBI. Then, Giordano plays back clips from MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, who argues that the FBI take is ‘radicalism that will make America much less safe,’ and a clip from Newt Gingrich in which he argues that the Freedom Caucus are acting like terrorists and holding Republicans hostage.

Then, Dom welcomes in Congressman Scott Perry, Chair of the Freedom Caucus, to the Dom Giordano Program, to discuss why he and others within the Caucus refuse to vote for Kevin McCarthy as the house tries to determine who the next Speaker of the House will be. First, Dom asks Perry why this hold out continues, with Perry explaining the history between members of the Freedom Caucus and McCarthy, alleging that multiple times issues were brought to the Congressman, and they felt ignored. Perry addresses a recent social media post on Truth Social by Former President Trump that asks for the Freedom Caucus to vote for McCarthy for the better of the Republican Party, telling why the caucus will continue with their effort in hopes that Republicans can install somebody who can actually get things done.  (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)
