That and other false teachings cause us to think and believe the most awful things about ourselves. Things that are just not true!

Jesus said for us to love our neighbor AS WE LOVE OURSELVES. The most important freedom is freedom from your own self-judgment – so we can love and accept ourselves unconditionally and fully and lavishly – so we can love our neighbor the same way.
