𝓓𝓲𝓪𝓵𝓸𝓰𝓾𝓮 𝓭𝓾 𝓳𝓸𝓾𝓻: Est-ce que tu as déjà été amoureux? 💕
👂🏻Colloquial phrases to listen for:
être amoureuse = to be in love / have fallen in love
le coup de foudre✨ = love at first sight. Younger french people use this in other contexts sometimes now eg. “le coup de foudre amical” is a thing.
une liaison = relation amoureuse = an affair. You have this word ‘liaison’ too in English no? These are always the easiest words to remember because there is already a connection somewhere in your brain!
être fou d'amour = be madly in love / lovesick “Tu vois, obsédé, pathétique et fou d'amour” (You know, obsessed, pathetic and lovesick.)
tout comme✨ = de la même façon que = just like. “Il est grand, tout comme ses parents.” (He’s tall just like his parents.)
“C’est tout comme”✨ = c'est presque pareil = he/she might as well have / it’s close enough. Ex. “Il ne m'a pas insulté mais c'est tout comme !” ou “D'accord, la viande n'est pas cru mais c'est tout comme.” (Ok, the meat isn't raw but it might as well be)
