👂🏻Colloquial phrases to listen for:
on s'entend, vous vous entendez = s'entendre bien, s'entendre mal = to get along/to not get along. The most advanced turn of phrase in this dialogue. When French people say "on s'entend bien", they're talking about more than just hearing each other. It's all about getting along like bread and cheese!
plutôt ✨ = assez, relativement = rather, quite. This little word packs a punch, adding a subtle nuance to your sentence. Il est plutôt beau, mon nouveau prof de maths!" (My new math teacher is rather handsome!).
des fois ✨= parfois, quelquefois = sometimes, occasionally = Use this when you want to sound like a true French local.
de temps en temps ✨= occasionnellement = from time to time = This phrase is your go-to for those not-so-frequent occurrences.
